Newly opened @brewandbar serves up Peranakan food and craft beers, a rather unusual combination. The food menu is economically priced. We ordered quite a few dishes for a group of 8 as the portion size was probably meant to be shared between 2-4 pax. Overall, the food was good. This plump otah was packed with fish meat chunks and wasn’t overly spicy. The Hee Pio (fish maw) soup was also tasty too.
Not sure if this is made in-house or not, either way we cleaned this out pretty quickly! Packed with chunky pieces of mackerel, you get that satisfying bite of soft steamed spicy paste and the meaty flesh of the fish. Definitely a must-order if you love otak otak. 🔥
