Eating healthy, eating vegetarian. This time, we went to lotus kitchen at Chinatown Point to try out this vegetarian restaurant.
Ordered the following:
1) xo seafood fried rice : $12.80
2) mushroom hot stone pot : $18.80
3) homemade spicy tofu: $18.80
4) Lion mane mushroom with spinach: $18.80
Overall the food was so-so, the price is pretty expensive. Expensive for vegetarian.
Started by the same guys behind Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant in Balestier's Quality Hotel Marlow, this restaurant in ChinaTown Point is smart casual concept that's great for family dining. Expect Chinese restaurant staples like dim sum, noodles and hot stir-fries, albeit all vegetarian. The combination of quality ingredients and familiar flavours has struck a chord in many Burpplers' hearts. Dishes that have our community's stamp of approval include the Braised Mushroom in Hot Stone Pot ($18.80), which sees lion's mane mushrooms slicked in a basil-scented sauce, the Signature Stir Fried Laksa ($9.80), a wok-hei laden XO Seafood Fried Rice ($12.80) and Spicy Grilled Cod ($18.80), which sees mock fish slathered with spicy chilli paste. They even do great Cantonese double-boiled soups! Try Burppler jankliciouz's recommended Signature Double-Boiled Herbal Tian Ma Soup ($8.80), brewed using over 10 herbs and premium pearl mushrooms until flavourful and nourishing.
Avg Price: $20 per person

Their penang fried kuay teow and stir fried laksa both at $9.80++ are really good, but this XO seafood fried rice $12.80++ won us over. The dish is packed with generous ingredients and a subtle charring aroma. I like the way the rice is piled up in a pyramid shape. The serving is good for 2 persons.
