Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen with All Topping ($15.9)
We choose all normal for taste and oil so we could taste the natural broth, but the soup just a bit..bland. it's not hitting us strong but just there. The noodle is good and tonkotsu is soft and great but the soup is a bit meh for me. It doesn't leave enough impression

Good food and good service. Come for the ramen but leave while in love with the rice. Too bad the chopsticks still use wodden one-time chopstick instead the washable one.

Free flow of corn (yay!) and bean sprouts (not for me but others may love it) that comes with every order of ramen.

Tamago was perfectly done and soup base was tasty without being overwhelming. Don’t be put off by the chili as it is not spicy for those of you who can handle your spice.

There’s only 3 flavours on the menu and your bowl of ramen is quite customisable. You can choose the softness of your noodles, flavour profile and even how much oil - which I really appreciate.

The noodles were really soft (because I opted for soft noodles) and I love it. The egg was soft and nice but the meat is alittle bit dry but the thinness kinda made up for it. Also you get to enjoy free flow beansprouts and corn!

I would probably return again! πŸ’›

At this 3 month old Ramen hitoyoshi, there are 3 types of ramen to choose from, Tonkotsu / Garlic Tonkotsu/ Spicy Tonkotsu. .

The regular bowl will just have a normal charsiew. But if you get the bowl with all toppings, it even comes with an aburi belly charsiew. A thick slab of pork that just melts in your mouth, with a touch of shoyu and sweetness. 🀀🀀🀀

I must say their tonkotsu is one of the more flavourful ones out there. And the ajitamago is perfect with it's slightly funny egg yolk πŸ˜‹. The garlic adds an added dimension, though I do feel that it can be slightly stronger. Whereas the spicy tonkotsu is definitely the clear winner with its robust flavour. It is not just straight up spicy, but has a slight numbness too. Definitely one for mala lovers! .

Taking over defunct Chef's Noodle in Harbourfront Centre, Ramen Hitoyoshi dishes out bowls of slurping good ramen at affordable prices β€” great for those working in the area. We like how the pork broth is thick and robust, that it comes with complimentary side dishes like corn and marinated bean sprouts, and that there are even USB ports to charge mobile phones. All ramen orders can be customised according to your preference β€” thick or thin noodles, less or extra oil, and how you prefer your noodles to be cooked. If you like a little more bite in your noodles, opt for them to be done 'hard' instead of 'normal'. Take comfort in their Tonkotsu with all Toppings ($14.90) that comes with the full works: chashu, aburi belly chashu, seaweed, black fungus, ajitamago (egg) and spring onions. But if you're looking for more heat, go for the Spicy Tonkotsu (from $11.90). The latter features the same pork broth topped with a scoop of spicy minced meat that Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua says will "creep up at the throat pretty unknowingly", so pace yourself!

In comparison, the Spicy Tonkotsu All Topping was a little bit more manageable than the Garlic Tonkotsu. Opted for all options "normal" here, and the spiciness comes pretty unforgiving where it creeps up at the throat pretty unknowingly β€” helps to cut a bit of that saltiness away. Coming with everything that came with the Garlic Tonkotsu All Toppings with an additional scoop of Spicy Mince, this was pretty decent considering how the condiments were pretty consistent throughout both bowls.

From Ramen Hitoyoshi; a new restaurant specialising in Tonkotsu ramen at Harbourfront Centre replacing Chef Noodles. Here, patrons can choose between three types of broth for their ramen; Tonkotsu, Garlic Tonkotsu and Spicy Tonkotsu with the flexibility of opting for lighter/heavier broth, thin/thick noodles and softer harder/noodles. Apart from Ramen, there are also a couple of sides and Donburi (coming soon) that are listed on the menu.

Not really exactly one who eats a lot of ramen, so take this with a pinch of salt. Thought their Garlic Tonkotsu broth was rather thick but also a little overly salty (MSG perhaps?), while still being evidently garlicky. Noodles were opted to be softer here and there is definitely a difference between "softer" and "normal" between both bowls that had thin noodles, while all other options remains at "normal". The All Toppings also meant that our bowl of Ramen came with Ajitama (molten egg yolk was pretty flowy), Cha Shu and Aburi Belly Cha Shu (both almost identical β€” pretty lean without a porky stench), Black Fungus, Seaweed and Spring Onions. Pretty decent, though I would preferred a slightly toned down broth.
