Flat White

$6.50 Β· 4 Reviews

Crafted with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe beans, one of the highest quality Arabica coffees in the world, this cuppa Flat White displayed a bright acidity and vibrant aftertaste. Really enjoyed the medley of textures mixed with creamy foamed milk, one of the best coffees I've tried in Singapore. πŸ˜πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ Truly a hidden gem where I foresee a barrage of returned visits. ❀️

This coffee roastery cum bistro near UBI Techpark is an excellent coffee pitstop for those working in the vicinity. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about java. They use single-origin beans from Colombia in their Flat White ($6.50), resulting in a brew that is "nutty, earthy and creamy", according to Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua. Have it to go, or sit down and order the Gruyere Gougeres ($4.50 for six) to munch on. These French cheese puffs are baked upon order, so exercise patience while you wait. Xing Wei describes them to be "delightfully fluffy, pillowy with a light hint of cheesiness within, while the exterior remains lightly crusted". For something more substantial, go for the Maine Lobster Roll ($27). Although slightly pricey, it comes loaded with succulent, thick chunks of lobster meat that go well with their house-made mayonnaise. If a sweet bite is what you're after, hopefully their Cookie Cup ($5.50) is available.

Not your ordinary coffee, flavorful espresso mix with velvety frothed milk. Delight yourself with a cup.

A rather hidden and exceptionally pretty spot (dim lighting, marble tables, black furnishings with a staircase at the end and mirrors on one side) within an industrial estate that is shared between 20grams and Malcolm Bistro; the latter not in operation yet till next week which serves a more bistro-like menu featuring small tasting plates and full-sized mains such as fish and meat dishes. Malcolm Bistro also serves a Business Lunch Tasting menu which is currently available only by reservation.

The Flat White here is pulled with single-origin beans from Colombia; the cuppa nutty, earthy and creamy, surprisingly well-pulled. Service is also very good here, with the staff patiently explaining the menu and even informing you about the beans used for the coffee here automatically β€” very commendable for a hidden spot like this.
