One of my go to place whenever I'm craving for some Nyonya Cuisine. It served quality food and happen to be nearby my neighbourhood.
Finally get to try the Nyonya laksa which only serve during certain days of the week. We also had the very fragrant sambal petai with prawn and roti jala during our visit.
Lima Pulo's Nyonya Laksa (RM9.90) is all sort of generous. The soup was creamy, tangy and fragrant which consists of noodles with fishballs, fishcakes, shredded chicken, sambal and half an egg. It only available on Monday, Wed, Fri, Sat. Their set lunch offers with a reasonable price (RM9.90) and comes with hearty portion. Asam pedas fish (RM9.90) and Ayam pongteh (Rm9.90) served with rice, vege and fried egg is just simply delicious which suits my tastebud.
Besides that, LimaPulo's cendol is a must try dessert. As it serves with shaved ice, jelly noodles & syrup gula Melaka (palm sugar) that beat the awful heat in Malaysia! The sweetness for the cendol is just nice and you will non-stop order more and more!!
Located along The Row, Peranakan diner Limapulo Baba Can Cook boasts charming old-school vibes and decades-old recipes whipped up by their veteran cook, Uncle John. Make this welcoming restaurant your go-to lunch spot when you're on a budget, be it solo or with your colleagues. The lunch meals are steals priced at a flat RM9.90, with appealing variety. When craving a creamy, warming Nyonya laksa, be sure to visit on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays, when the dish is available. If you're here on any other day, don't fret. Their daily fare includes an absolutely delightful Ayam Berempah with rice. The name often denotes spiced fried chicken but in Peranakan terms, this is a comforting bowl of tender chicken cooked in a curry-like gravy. Other worthy Nyonya dishes offered here are the light, crispy Pai Tee (RM10) and a decadent Sago Gula Melaka (RM3.50).

To me, the balance of herbs & spices, the ingredients quality & the cook's effort got me in for more. And, I was not heavily drugged vf MSG or poisoned with oxidized oil ๐๐ป I can imagine the tedious steps to reach this level and layers of taste. ๐ฝ
