Having moved from Shaw Towers to a bigger space at Tan Quee Lan, Ah Loy Thai has proven time and time again that when it comes to good and authentic Thai food, they sure know what they’re doing! Be it their mango salad or signature tom yum soup, every dish hits all the right notes!

The Phad Thai was nicely flavoured and has preserved radish added which gave an extra umami flavour. The serving was worth the price of $7.50. The tom yum goong (thick) tasted well though i would prefer it to be less sweet. Overall a must-go thai place that provides authentic and affordable thai food. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Pandan chicken, tom yum seafood soup, stir-fried kang kong and pineapple fried rice. Decent Thai food, at reasonable prices. The fried rice was delish, though it felt like the pineapples were there as a topping than in the rice itself. Tom yum soup was more than satisfying, though I'd say skip the pandan chicken as the version is slightly dry and on the sweet side.

Didn't know how long ago it was, but Ah Loy Thai has moved from Shaw Towers (when I knew it) to its new location here in Bugis, which likely sees more footfall too. #thaifood #herpenandfork #sgblogger #sgfoodie #8dayseat #burpple #vscofood #openricesg #cafehoppingsg #instafood #instafood_sg #onthetable #stfoodtrending #ahloythai

.
Their potent Spicy Tom Yum Soup and "wok hei" rich Pineapple Fried Rice was still extremely satisfying as usual.

We had the Seafood version ($8.90) & that spicy kick was the perfect start to dinner!
The perfect blend of spicy & sour but be careful if you're afraid of chili cause it can get quite spicy!
Best part was that for a group of 8 of us, we only spent $10.20 each & we were filled till our bellies were about to burst. Perfect for group meet ups, definitely a spot for #BurppleBestBugis!

Recommended by my colleague and indeed authentic Tom yum soup

Seriously too hungry and the food is too tempting that I ate all then realized I don't take photos again!!!
