Entrenched in Jalan Sultan's rich heritage, Leaf & Co pairs time-worn appearances with their signature dish — a classic, modern-day buttermilk fried chicken that's on its way up KL's fried chicken charts. Go for the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Rice (RM23), which features the insanely crispy and flavourful whole chicken leg with Malaysian-style fried rice, Indonesian sambal terasi and a Thai-style salad. This dish is not the only sign that the cafe has much to offer from both East and West. Tasty eats include the Swedish Meatballs (RM22) and the local, spiced rendang chicken in Malaysia Spaghetti (RM20). Any last-minute cravings will be satiated with a side of Potato Slices (RM8), fried to resemble thick, crinkle-cut potato chips.

Entered into this cafe with little expectations save for its stripped down aesthetics, and was blown away by the Buttermilk Fried Chicken (RM21). Crisp and aromatic, you'll bulldoze your way through that whole chicken leg in no time. Plus points for the spicy sriracha mayo and potato slices!
