Wagyu Mabushi Lunch Set (#04-44, Nabe Seizan)

$38.00 ยท 2 Reviews

Save the hassle of flying to Japan to get your Tsukiji sushi fix and head to Wisma Atria's newest concept, Japan Food Town. The space next to Din Tai Fung on the fourth floor is now home to a total of 16 restaurants from different parts of Japan. Unlike the neighbouring Food Republic where you're allowed to order from other food concepts, each restaurant at Japan Food Town has its own seating space and menu. On weekends, come with your family and get the kids well fed with the juicy, crispy Soy Sauce Kaarage (from $6.50) from Rang Mang Shokudo. Want to sneak in a quick lunch date? Make a reservation to secure Nabe Seizan's Wagyu Mabushi Lunch Set ($38) โ€” the two-Michelin starred restaurant in Tokyo only makes 15 of these lunch sets daily! For beautifully grilled fish, head to Sabar and order their signature 38cm Saba ($25, lunch set) โ€” the nicely browned and crispy skin reveals moist and flavourful fish underneath.

Seizan is a 2 Michelin-starred restaurant in Tokyo with the philosophy of focusing on the ingredients before sauces. ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ ๐ŸŒพ

To appreciate the meal you first eat the wagyu beef bowl as it is, allowing you to savour the simple but rich beefiness of the meats. ๐Ÿ„ Then add some of the condiments (wasabi, spring onions and seaweed) to give it a different dimension. Finally (and my favourite part) is when you add in dashi soup to the rice bowl. The clean, clear stock mixes beautifully with the meatiness of the dish, keeping you digging back in for more.

The only thing in their lunch menu is this set so you can be sure that a lot of care and details have gone into making this an enjoyable experience. Also. there are only 15 portions a day so call to reserve one before hand!
