Look no further! Head to Ticket to Korea at Setiawalk Puchong.
Jeff and Juju are the friendliest (and good looking) owners you can ever speak to!
I've always wanted to try these ramen and topokki stews. They always look amazing on TV! The ingredients were quite simple. Secret sauce and Korean chilli paste, tonnes of veggies, sausages, tofu skin, ramen, topokki (Korean rice cake) and many more. All of these, boiled over some delicious chicken broth. It's exciting to see how it boils over, gets REALLY red, then thickens and turns into a darker red.
I love the soup and ramen! So delicious and flavourful. Topokki was the best I've tried so far. Chewy and soft. Perfect texture to my taste. And the soup was not very spicy! Kind of like a sweet and spicy soup. Such a simple dish with bombing flavours in your mouth. I guess you don't need to be too complicated to deliver good food! Can't wait to head back here to try more things.
Also a #Burppletastemaker eatup with @emilychoong_. We were lucky enough to be treated by @tickettokorea!
Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 35.90 - this portion is enough to feed 3-4 average eaters, and maybe 2-3 big eaters. Me and Emily were quite stuffed by 3/4 of the stew. But it's quite expensive alone. The set is the most worth it!) P/S. Go for the set at RM 65++ which serves about 3-4 pax and more value for money! You get one stew, a plate of cheesy Korean friend rice, cheese sticks for appetiser. We were stuffed, but so happy and giddy after this over-satisfying lunch.
Ticket to Korea is a place to go to for fusion food (that doesn't go wrong). I mean, everything goes well with cheese. (Haven't you heard of maggi cup and cheese?) I would love eating this plate of rice by myself if I was low on carb or not as stuffed as this day. (Stew for 3, cheese sticks and now this. Talking about being a glutton for the day! Hehe)
The taste of seaweed was fragrance and kimchi was not overpowering as well. I like the bit of charred taste, maybe because it is pan fried on the tepanyaki pan. It was very fascinating to see Jeff melting the cheese AND SEE THE CHEESE MELT. Oh yummy food porn. The cheese adds on flavour to the fried rice. It wasn't as melty and cheesy as I thought, but it was stretchy enough! Checkout @emilychoong_'s profile for some cheesy food porn.
Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 (not sure about the price for ala carte because I had it with the stew set.)
It was only a stick. But it was enough to just try and keep our appetite for a tummy war later (when the stew and rice came). Mashed sweet potato with cheese wrapped with some wonton skin and fried to crisp. So addicting and so good! I had to resist ordering an ala carte.
Food: 8/10 Price: 8/10 (RM 6 for 3 sticks)
