Butter Champagne 👍👍👍and Salted Egg Yolk👍👍.
6pcs for $30+ each flavour. No service charge.
Meat is tough but yummy. Personally preferred butter champagne because it is juicier. Salted egg is dry.
Butter Champagne "XL" Ribs ($22 for 4 pc) so huge that it requires using our hands (plastic gloves provided) to conquer the well marinated and fall-off-the-bone meat!
We drove past and saw the Chinese name, and we knew that this restaurant is a must-go! Despite their tongue in cheek name, the restaurant serves HK Dai Pai Dong style tze char. We had the milk butter ribs which was very well marinated with tender meat that comes off the bone easily. The menu features an interesting mish mash tze char creations like the crabmeat money bag, fried chestnut bar etc. There's no doubt it's a place I will highly recommend for friends and family dinners, just a matter of how do I tell the older folks the name of the restaurant without sounding crude.
4.5 munchies: Not a fan of champagne at all when it comes to alcohol, but I'd have these butter champagne ribs anytime. Using passion fruit to balance out the bitterness in two whole bottles worth of champagne, the thick, sticky sauce resulted in a delectable, tropical sweet tart flavour.
Singaporean Head Chef Oh Ah Lek, who has 37 years of experience in the Asian kitchen, was also not kidding when it comes to the XL size spare ribs. Slightly charred with a strong wok hei, the massive ribs, which fell off the bone easily, were tender and had a good amount of fat. A bottle of Hoegaarden would be perfect to go with these lip-smacking ribs!
Many thanks to Food News PR for the warm hospitality, and Burpple for the invitation!

A restaurant that was named after me, @biglazychop. Haha I kid! It must be some sort of freaky coincidence.
Located on the ground floor of the CSL Student Hostel along Short Street, this restaurant specialises in #zichar dishes with unique and special sauces.
For example, their XL Pork Spare Ribs come in seven different sauces: salted egg, buttermilk, coffee, citrus orange, butter champagne, citrus champagne and beer. I tried their butter champagne ribs (S$23++ for 5 ribs), and boy was it delectable. My friends can attest to how clean my ribs were after ravaging them. The pork was rather tender and fell quite easily off the bone but the highlight was definitely the thick butter champagne sauce.
The establishment has quite limited indoor seating so do make reservations. It's also closed for business on Mondays.
Thank you #biglazychop, @foodnewspr and @burpple for the finger-licking-good dinner! 😋
