@jooeunchung and I have been big fans of Vietnamese food ever since our trip to Ho Chi Minh City last year.
@mrspho is one of our favourite Vietnamese restaurants in town. We are big fans of their bun thit nuong which is a good mix of sweet, sour, spicy and savoury. I love their grilled marinated pork in particular.
Do give their yogurt and salty lemonades whilst you are there too because they are a good way to end a meal there.

This is what I order every time I come to Mrs Pho - dry rice vermicelli with meatballs, fried spring roll and grilled pork. And it had never failed me.
Ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio - M5 on the menu - Vermicelli with grilled pork chop, crispy spring roll, meat balls, fresh salad and herbs - and mixed it all up with the sweet and savoury fish sauce dressing - it was sooo good...!! Refreshing, appetising and filling...!!
So I headed over to Mrs Pho to satisfy my cravings.

My go-to at Mrs Pho, this never fails to satisfy with a refreshing mix of noodles, crisp lettuce and variety of meat. Pour in that sweet, sour and funky sauce and mix it all up for this noodle/salad bowl that won’t leave you feeling lethargic for the whole day. The meat balls and pork chop are both really tasty, but I love that crisp, meaty spring roll that soaks up the sauce really well.
Took my parents to Mrs. Pho for the first time tonight. Enthusiastic dining action coupled with a few praises indicated that it was a success. They shared a bowl of beef brisket pho as well as small plates of grilled meatballs, fresh springrolls and a papaya salad.
As usual, I got my order of the “M5” (bun thit nuong cha gio). The dry style of rice stick noodles with grilled pork chop, crispy spring roll, meat balls, fresh salad and herbs still tasted good even though I had not visited in ages.
Oh this was a disappointment. $9.5 before GST with a bit of noodle, cant fulfil my stomach at all.
Taste wise, wasnt that bad but overall I would rather opt for Pho Viet at Joo Chiat for Bun thit nuong, Bun bo Hue at Co Hai just 2 shops away from this ($9, huge serving), Bo Kho at Long Phung only $6.5 with lots of beef, Com Tam at either Pho Viet or Joo Chiat (cheaper and huge serving)
A mouthful to say it's name, but if you master it and take the plunge to order it you will be well rewarded. The balance of the sauce that brings together the soft chewy vermicelli noodles with the BBQ pork and spring rolls is perfect.
I have been searching for Bun Thit Nuong (my all time favourite Vietnamese meal) in Singapore and I only just recently learnt of Mrs Pho. Yes, the setting here is catered to Singaporeans. Yes, the fish sauce is pre-mixed. And yes there isn't a buffet of vegetables at your side. But still, it's pretty damn tasty. At $9.90, I'd be sure to be back again very very soon.
