Tried the Nutella toast. ($14.9). Very thick, fluffy? Buttery with crispy crust. The nutella sauce was more dark chocolate than nutella, ice cream was good. Really good toast 4.5/5

so glad they have my favourite salted-egg yolk flavour tonight; and mum had to choose the one in her all-time favourite colour - purple yam!! Still good quality stuff though prices have gone up quite a bit, I'd have to say! 😳 Wish they would do away with the fancy clear-plastic cup and spoons, pretty but quite wasteful 😛 Yummy gelato, nonetheless. We both enjoyed our scoop.

On days when it's not only ice cream but an icy dessert that you crave, head on down to this Havelock cafe for three-inch-thick toasts topped with ice cream. The Gula Melaka Coconut Thick Toast ($14.90) is a long-time favourite among the Burpple community. Expect a pillowy toast with crispy edges, topped with handcrafted coconut ice cream, grated coconut flakes and gula Melaka syrup. Burpple Tastemaker Cassie Ong loves how the slightly salted buttery toast complements the rich coconut ice cream. While you're here, check out their selection of daring ice cream flavours (from $3.80 per scoop). There are classics like Matcha and Mango, but there are also some, like the Melon & Parma Ham, that have made us stop in our tracks in the past.
Avg Price: $15 per person

Gula Melaka Coconut Toast is still one of the best thing to have at Dessert Project. Creamy coconut ice cream drizzled with Gula Melaka atop thick but fluffy toast. Seriously who can resist this combination!

The bits around the edges of that thick toast are crisp and crusty, but the MVP (most valuable piece) is really the one smack in the centre, where it's softest and most saturated with butter.

I always thought they used lard instead of butter cos it's so fragrant...
