People always fight over which nasi lemak is better at Changi Village Hawker Centre. My top contender is Mizzy Corner but itโs a hard fight, I really like the others too. This one is from Changi Famous Nasi Lemak which is ironically not as famous as Mizzy Corner or Old School Canteen, but itโs not bad eh. I got the 5th set which is the largest and cost $5. Portion size was good, chicken was Uber crispy, bergadil was sed so and otah did not have a strong fishy smell. Chill was also fantastic โ sweet with a spicy kick and not too hot for my weak tastebuds. Only gripe is the egg. Was rubbery and it felt like they left it in the fryer and forgot about it.
Changi Famous Nasi Lemak at Changi Village Food Centre (#01-28) was love at first try๐คค I ordered Set 5 ($5), which came with otah, chicken wing, bergedil (fried potato patty) and a sunny side up. The otah was soft and flavourful. The real showstopper, however, was the super well-seasoned, juicy and crispy fried chicken wing! The fragrant coconut rice and chilli complemented the ingredients well - so hearty and satisfying!
Our favourite nasi lemak in Changi Village Hawker Centre; Set 4 costs $4.50 with one crispy fried chicken wing and otak-otak! Rice is definitely soft, fluffy and coconutty; and I like they added the batter crisps for the chicken wings! No wonder this is more popular than Mizzy Nasi Lemak!
