Banh Mi Phuong

The bahn mi from this shop is really something to behold; the crust is crisp, the filling is well seasoned and delicious. It is well worth the queue and frankly well-priced (about 25000 vnd or ~S$2). Although translating the menu on Grab took some time, I would go out on a limb to say all the bahn mi on the menu are nice. And if you do get a willing rider (in Vietnam they place the order in person), please tip them well because the queue time means they take on fewer trips.

Endorsed by Anthony Bourdain and apparently the best in Vietnam. This was sooooo good. The bread - as important as the fillings - was crusty despite the humidity and the fillings were delicious. We gobbled it all up and it was worth every crumb. And less than S$2!

I was in Danang, Vietnam for a short trip✈️ went to Hoi An for a day trip and a must get from many recommendations online is the famous banh mi Phuong visited by the one and only Anthony bourdain ✨ due to the hype it’s not exactly cheap for a banh mi, I didn’t felt that it was particularly extraordinary. It’s definitely a good banh mi with a stronger kick of sauce and well-seasoned pork slices but yea - it’s more like a tourist stop than for the food🤔
