The dessert originates from Japan/Korea and has now arrive to our foodie nation - Malaysia! I love the yogurt, the touch of chocolate accompanied with dipped marshmallows. The flour-y fish (lol) is not bad too, with a hidden belly filled with red bean. Overall this will bring out the kid in you :)
I've tasted taiyaki in Japan and this one despite a Korean dessert, is similar to Japan's taiyaki.
The bottom layer is filled with warm custard cream since the fish bread is baked. Instead of ice cream, they give plain frozen yoghurt to balance the temperature. Finally it is finished with chocolate drizzle, crushed cereal, and a stick of grapes covered in chocolate (which I thought were mochi at first!).
Nothing really special about the flavour but do eat the yoghurt before it melts!
For RM 10.9, you will be getting quite a lot. A freshly made fish shaped waffle that is soft on the inside, a generous amount of yogurt ice cream, a melted chocolate fondue and a filling located at the tail of the fish. I chose Nutella filling, which was an extra RM 1, but hey it's totally worth it 👍
