Their churros are maybe one of the crunchiest I’ve ever had??? dusted in the classic cinnamon sugar coating accompanied with dulce de leche, chocolate sauce and tiramisu foam. My favorite was the tiramisu foam actually as the mixture of coffee and cocoa had a slight bitterness which helped to counteract the sweetness from sugar. The texture was abit too crunchy for my liking I feel and would prefer if there was more fluffiness for the interior.

This half suckling pig costs $140 and is served tableside, but order it earlier in your meal as it takes awhile to prepare. The server cut the pig up using a plate as it was very tender and didn’t need a knife but it seemed a little unnecessary to do that. The meat was super flavorful and had a good meat/fat ratio. Would’ve liked the skin to be crispier though as it didn’t have a super satisfying crack when biting into it.

Super famous fish soup place just opposite Bugis Junction with perpetual queues during mealtime. Ordered the fish soup without noodles (i don’t like it when the noodles end up soaking up all the soup) and I could drink this soup every day. So so comforting and I could tell that it’s been boiled for hours and the milk I chose to add gave it abit of richness without overpowering its flavor. Fish was done well but could’ve been more generous with the ingredients. $6 for a bowl of soup and most side dishes are above $10 make it quite a pricey local fare/zichar stall actually. But that clearly doesn’t deter people from frequenting it.

The grain bowl also comes with grilled eggplant, baby spinach, salsa, quinoa and the bread of the day which was a breadstick on the day I went. The breadstick was super flavorful and herby yet crispy and buttery and probably my favorite part of the grain bowl. The other elements were decent but the quinoa could’ve been seasoned better as it was bland. The bread and coffee here is really good though and I’d recommend.

Newly opened grain bowl place located on the 2nd floor of Frasers Tower. There’s an ongoing 30% off on all orders at the place or through their website until 11 Oct. The baked crusted dory was crunchy and flavorful but the honey soy chicken could’ve been better seasoned. For the sides, they seemed to be running low after lunch service and ran out of pumpkin and brinjal. The broccoli purée was very super creamy and smooth and the kimchi was good too though abit too salty. As for the toppings the kale chips added this earthy bitterness that blended well with the entire bowl and the garlic aioli was super strong and garlicky. Good stuff overall and serving size is better than other grain bowl places

You can choose between white/brown rice or salad and I opted for the white japanese rice that’s drizzled with some sort of gravy that was really flavorful. When I opened the box the intense aroma of the charcoal grilled pork cheeks hit me immediately and it tasted as good as it smelled. Smoky, well marbled slices of pork cheek paired with their tangy, spicy housemade chili kept me wanting more. The sous vide egg mixed into the rice made it that much more rich. The portion is generous as well with at least 10 slices of pork cheek. Would definitely come back to try the grilled chicken and roast beef versions.

Stumbled upon this stall and saw that it was featured in the 2018 Michelin guide so I decided to give it a shot. It was freshly fried when I bought it the exterior pastry was flaky and crispy while the inside was piping hot. The curry wasn’t overly spicy and there were generous chunks of potato, chicken breast and egg. The only downside is that the puff is tiny for $1.50 and I finished it in a couple bites.

From my fav cold brew place so I decided to give the matcha milk a shot!! The texture once again is wonderful so creamy without being overbearing but flavor wise I think the matcha flavor could’ve been stronger. Make sure to shake well before drinking as the matcha settles at the bottom of the bottle.
