Putu Piring Cake ($11.50) TMC's Dunlop outlet felt slightly cramp if you compare it to their Bussorah or Esplanade joints, but their cakes were still on point. Had the Putu Piring cake slice, which was generously sprinkled with coconut gratings and filled with luscious palm sugar syrup. Slightly diabetes-inducing but what a good way to end off the night.

Amazing Halal Food $114 for 4 person. Food were simply amazing, one of the best halal restaurant I've been to. Items were on the expensive side but the portions are so huge it can be shared by 2 per mains. And they gave us free wings and 2 chocolate cake. Staff was super attentive too, she helped us refill the water many times. Highly recommended!!

Ciabatta Pancetta ($3) I didn't expected that ciabatta got salty and savoury taste (w bacon filed) with bread.

Pane Crossiant Cherry ($2.30) I thought it's gonna to be sweet for canned cherry sauce but it's quite creamy and milky texture for glazed cream cheese.

Focaccia Sesamo ($2) Walnut fans would find this focaccia so satisfying. Walnut pieces are big in the bun. By the time you finish them, you would just notice that the BFF red bean is also there! 😄

Interesting Twist On Vegan Dishes Ordered the salt baked celeriac 2.0 for dinner. Presented quite nicely (the lighting was bad so this picture doesn’t do it justice). It was tasty but not mind blowing and the portion was very small and also very pricy without the 1-1 on the Burpple app at about $20. I don’t think I would go back even with the 1-1 at this price point. Also note that it’s outdoor dining although it was cool on the day we were there and the ambience is pleasant.

Great Hidden Space But Limited Menu First of all - VEGETARIAN. Secondly, menu is limited but lots of care goes into the presentation of the food. Great for the health conscious.

Hay Salt Baked Celeraic [$20] $20 for two small pieces of turnip. Felt like an appetiser & was still very hungry after. Would not come here again, even with Burpple Beyond.

Hot Chocolate (SGD $5.50) @ Dutch Colony Coffee Co. Established in March 2013 by co-owners Meidia Tamboto, her husband, and Suhaimie Sukiman, this chain is known for their expertly brewed single-origin coffee. . Their rendition features a good portion of milk, but the thick chocolate taste still carries through, with milky chocolatey bitter sweet flavour. Medium strength of body. . . . Raspberry Cold Brew Tea | $6.50 Couldn’t taste much of raspberry probably cause it was syrup based drink. Was expecting more of a fruity flavour. A tad disappointed.

Stronger and stronger - an empty cup filled to the brim with espresso ice cubes, with milk added upon service. This makes for an iced coffee with a mega dose of caffeine - a delightful drink on a hot day. There’s also a decent scrambled eggs with cheese toast and some roasted tomatoes on the vine for $5. Whutttttttt??? Don’t tell your friends about it, so there’ll be seats for you and I. #sweeleesocialclub #burpple

Make your own bowl The beef stew was tender and flavourful. Curry cauliflower rice was pretty good too. The queue is kinda long during lunch time, but you can order on your mobile and pickup instead!

Cacao Bliss Açai Bowl (Small) ($7.90) Added strawberry (+$1) and protein shot (+$1.50). Açai blended with cacao is uncommon and interesting. Unsweetened cacao actually helps to reduce appetite and makes one feel fuller. Completed with nuts, protein and granola, this bowl is rather wholesome. It would feel more filling than the signature açai bowl of the same size.

Avocado Vegan Bowl. The best surprise in the bowl was the pink goop of beetroot hummus which was spiced and formed a nice dressing to the salad bowl.

Unique Charcoal Steak Quite unique steak presentation & flavours in a plate. The medium rare steak was quite tender with a bed of fresh avochimmichurri, accompanied by charred asparagus and potato salad. Suitable for a light meal dinner. Paired it with a glass of red wine and you’re set for the night.

Blackened Barramundi ($34++) Both my boyfriend and I were very unimpressed by this...Yes it’s good (or honestly just alright) but nothing to shout about and definitely not worth that price tag. Even with burpple it’s a pass Nice vibes and service though (and pizza still gd)

Pulled Pork Burrito ($17) Pulled pork was lean but not dry, but not as juicy as others that I have tasted, tho it was still alright as it had a nice natural porky flavour. This contained cheese, black beans, rice, lettuce, and jalapeños - I particularly liked the cilantro rice! It was also served with sour cream, guac and pico de gallo. Overall, even tho it wasn’t *super* flavourful, I enjoyed how light yet tasty it was, not heavy like some sloppier burritos out there.

Mushroom Quesadillas ($15) I have a soft spot for mushroom quesadillas, and this was enjoyable as expected. Melty cheese and juicy mushrooms are always a good combination - not too salty as well. The flour tortilla is grilled and so it’s not floppy, and very easy to eat, nothing rly spills out. It’s also served with guac, pico de gallo and sour cream!

Xiao Long Bao Thin skin with overflowing soup spilling out of the bao, tasty and best eaten when served The Xiao Long Baos seem slightly smaller in size as compared to the average Xiao Long Baos but quality triumphs quantity Went around 7pm on a weekday and managed to get the Xiao Long Baos - $5 for 6 pieces, they were out of most items and were preparing for closing.

Supreme Indeed 😍 Located in a humble stall in Holland Drive, is Supreme Xiao Long Bao, that serves up pretty authentic Chinese dishes. The zhajiangmian, or black bean noodles ($3.50) may come in a relatively small portion, but the quality is really good. The noodles are firm and chewy, and the sauce has that salty umami kick that makes the noodles really addictive. The xiao long bao ($4.50 for 6) is pretty good as well. The fried dumplings ($4 for 8) is really satisfying as well, as it is pretty filled with loads of ingredients and has the crust I was looking for. Definitely a good find!

Go for their Salt and Pepper Chicken! Finally tried @monkitaiwansg at Star Vista and food was pretty decent! I was actually quite impressed with the Shredded Chicken Mee Sua ($7.80), as the noodles still had abit of bite to them, giving a small contrast in texture. The soup itself was quite flavourful without being too salty. Too bad they ran out of oysters! Fried Salt and Pepper Chicken ($6) was my choice side. They were fried to perfection, as the exterior was very light and crispy, with the meat staying succulent. However, it can be quite salty towards the end! The Cheese Sausage Egg Roll ($8) was very interesting, as the exterior was grilled till crispy. I honestly couldn't taste the cheese, as it was drenched heavily in mayo and sauces 😂 Kinda expensive for the ingredients used! A possible option if you are in the area!

Lu rou fan Classic lu rou fan that features succulent pork belly with good ratio of fat and meat. Their sauce is a thicker and savory rendition that nicely coats the fluffy pearl rice. Served with a braised egg, preserved vegetables, taukwa, and broccoli (a tad odd but greens are always welcomed).
