The pulled pork rosti ($17) was one of my favorite dishes here. Marinated BBQ pulled pork sat atop a bed of crisp fried russet & sweet potato rosti. The rosti might remind you more of fries (because of their level of crispness), but hey, we ain’t complaining. The flavors blended in well with each other, especially with the sunny side up egg on top.
Fuel plus serves all their main menu items (which are really interesting compared to your typical brunch selection) from the time they start operating, so you can get the full selection even if you’re an early bird. Prices are affordable too! Such a hidden find :)

While the slabs of tender, grilled pork were meant to be the highlight of the bowl (and they were certainly delicious), what stole the show for me was the fragrant mound of rice beneath it, marinated in a piquant garlic sauce and mixed in with egg yolk. Help yourself to the free-flow salad bar, and I especially liked the lotus root salad! Come by in the month of Jan for 15% off with Burpple 😉

Regular sized ($9nett) plate of goodness: choose 1 Base (quinoa/bulgar/mesclun & more), 1 Protein (chicken breast), 2 toppings, 1 dressing and 1 special avocado side (avo-mango-salsa/guacamole/sliced avocado). The portion was decent for a good lunch! And I’m definitely coming back for those yummy-looking avo toasts

The tender beef slices are coated with a drizzle of sauce, just enough to bring out the flavor of the meat, and the wobbly Ibsen egg on top seals the deal with its runny goodness 🤤 this was a hosted tasting, thanks @burpple for the invite! #burpple

One of the newest items on the menu at @barashitei was the Unagi Salmon Mentai Maki ($14.80). Loved the flavour of the mentaiko sauce that was slathered over slices of aburi salmon, but we felt that the unagi was lost amidst all the activity that was going on within the maki. It's tough to live up to the old favorite, Spicy Salmon Maki ($14.80), which had an addictive spicy sauce and a textural contrast from the tempura ebi within it. This was a tasting hosted by @barashitei. Thanks @burpple for the invite! #burpple #burppletastemaker

Many people would visit Ka-Soh for their sliced fish noodle soup, and it's a really comforting dish. But for some hearty wok hei, go for the dry sliced fish horfun. It's a generous portion, definitely sufficient for a hearty appetite, and I liked how it was not too salty.

It took some time for our food to be served, but this was certainly worth the wait! The charcoal-grilled chicken had a smokey flavour without being overly charred, and was surprisingly tender and juicy! The Teriyaki Steak Don ($14.90) on the other hand was rather tough and chewy. All dishes came paired with a beautifully wobbly onsen egg.

A rather interesting combination of ingredients on this Tarte Flambé ($24) I must say! It was a smattering of savoury and sweet toppings including dehydrated apple, asparagus, rocket, bacon and cheese. We requested to swap out the blue cheese for Parmesan as we were wary of the pungency of the former :p Though it tasted decent, it's probably not a pizza combo that I would go for if I had other options.
