if i could pick two words to describe this experience it’d definitely be greasy and sinful. great play of words on the menu too, it was definitely one of the things that captured our attention. came here with a bunch of friends and got a variety of feedbacks. some commented that the burger was a tad too salty for them, probably owed to the well-buttered buns & some said it was one of the best cheeseburger they have tasted.

the buns were really well buttered (maybe even a bit over done) & the meat was cooked perfectly. they also only serve waffle fries and the addition of cheese definitely alleviated the experience. drinks selection were not extensive, as they only serve can drinks (pls correct me if i’m wrong). overall, great place to satisfy your burger cravings. watch out for that sodium intake tho 🙌🏼😗

stumbled past this bbt shop while walking to our staycay spot. after reading some reviews, we got the korean milk tea and lapsang souchong milk tea which we were both pleasantly surprised by. the roasted taste of the korean milk tea is really strong, which was to our liking. lapsang souchong milk tea tasted quite normal in comparison, but it was a good cup of milk tea nonetheless.

ps; the small and cosy shop was served by this lovely lady and they even offer free tea leaves for anyone who stops by their shop. too bad we didn’t have any containers to fill them in. will definitely be back for more ✨✨

we ordered the medium bak kut teh + pork organ fried porridge and it was amazing! portion was generous and bak kut teh reminds me of bkt i’ve had in jb :’) for people who likes very herbally and strong tasting bkt this is for you! the wokhey in the fried porridge enhanced the taste and they are very generous in giving the ingredients. for just $1 each, the fried mee sua and the youtiao are great additions to the meal 👌🏼

overall, this shop tucked away at the top level of beauty world hawker centre is definitely worth the visit. will be back for more 😎👍🏼

located conveniently at the second floor of somerset, chunyang really had our hearts at the warm and friendly service of their staff. they’d recommend you drinks if you’re unsure of what to get and we’ve gotten the honey osmanthus oolong tea (+$1 for pearls) and oolong tea latte with pudding respectively.

the honey osmanthus drink has a very natural aromatic note to it without coming off as too perfumy which we loved. it’s great for consumers who doesn’t like milky drinks where else for the oolong tea latte, the milky taste is quite distinct which complemented the tea aroma well. the pudding is quite similar to other bbt shop but they are not stingy in the quantity of topping they include. overall a great experience at chunyang, will be back for more❗️👌🏼

we’ve ordered the burpple set (2 wagyu beef don for $25) & had been wanting to know what is the hype for gyu nami all about! the savings is not a whole lot, maybe ~$5 since each don is originally priced at $15. the shop is tucked away at a small corner and the ambience is pretty cozy. the don presentation is really cute as it resembled a volcano. the egg yolk is placed perfectly at the top of the mountain of beef and rice, accompanied with this rich creamy sauce drizzled down the side. 🥺🥺

the medium rare beef slices taste almost like a thinly sliced ham & the texture is good! however, the rice has nothing to rave about and the miso soup was pretty bland. overall it is a nice don to try, but me and my partner both agreed that we won’t order the beef don again. maybe cause it didn’t suit our tastebuds, since others raved about it. also, be prepared that they don’t serve any plain water, even when i mentioned that i needed to take my medication... only serves can drinks!

the aesthetic of the restaurant reminded us of our trip in vietnam! we got the burpple set ($30 for 2 pax) and the portion was indeed more than enough.

i loved the yogurt drink i’ve ordered, very thiccc and refreshing. the pho was ok, though we prefer the authentic ones we’ve had in vietnam more. we enjoyed the side dishes very much but the pudding dessert was quite bitter, maybe due to the burnt caramel? overall great experience, though the pho was a bit lack lustre! 🍲

since we are salmon addicts, we both ordered the aburi scallops salmon don ($17). the truffle aroma hit us even before the waiter served us the bowls. the flavourful and warm japanese rice was topped with a generous serving of scallops and cubes of salmon which was delightful. though the special sauce mentioned were not very notable, each component of the dish really complimented each other. will definitely be back for more, with or without the burpple discount! 😋

nicely presented sausage + potatoes dishes which were surprisingly pretty filling! each dishes come with its own set of sauces for you to mix and match. the mash accompanied with the grilled pork sausages were very buttery and creamy & the sliced potatoes were nicely roasted too, but maybe a tad too oily 😅 the side of pickled veges is pretty acidic, which is not to our asian tastebuds liking 😂

overall highly recommended, they serve beer alongside their dishes as well, great as a chill out spot!

both dishes were accompanied by a small basket of curly fries, which were the cherry on top of their already amazing mains! their classic cheese burger was a 8/10, but their fish tacos really stole the show!! very nicely fried halibut fillets topped with their sour mango salsa, amazing combination. will be back for more!

we’ve ordered their pizza and beef rendang — to which i would say we’ve enjoyed them both very much! the crust on the pizza resembles that of a crispy bread, which i really liked but not so much for my partner 😅😅 the beef rendang is very tender and flavourful, alongside their great customer service, Harry’s at Sentosa is highly recommended!
