Take note that we were here on a Sunday, in Tanjong Pagar, where it is almost like an abandoned city (TP is mostly an office area, so it looks dead on weekends).

There were 4 groups seated when we reached.
Sticking to Burpple Beyond, we ordered 2 mains and settled down.
It was shocking that we waited for almost an hour (estimated to be about 50+ minutes), gave up and told them we were leaving (they were slightly embarrassed and apologetic that it took so long), STEPPED OUT, only for the lady boss to come out and said our order was "ready".
Out of politeness, we went back and began the meal.

Take note: no other tables had any main course served the whole time we were there, they all either had Borscht or the dumplings. So they either were just there for small bites & drinks or were waiting longer than us.

Our order: Rosti (with smoked salmon) and a chicken dish.
Both of them did not seem like they would really need that long to cook up.

Opinion of the food: both dishes had underwhelming serving sizes. We felt that if the food was good and serving sizes were large, maybe the wait could be forgiven, but while taste and quality might make the cut, serving sizes were disappointing.
The rosti (which again we emphasis, was nothing so special for it to need 1 hour) was average. 3 circles of potatoes, topped with salmon, and plated with an assortment of vegetables (some salad leaves, sliced onions, sliced radish). Nothing mind-blowing, rosti was unnecessarily oily.
Chicken was well seasoned, served with multiple grilled vegetables below (slices of capsicum in the 3 colours, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms). But it was half of a small bird, so the portion is once again very weak, maybe even scoring a big F for fail.

The lady boss did offer a slice of cake as complimentary dessert, and we appreciate the gesture, but it could not stand out to even mount an attempt at saving the day.

Overall, a lacklustre experience, we give it a 1 out of 5, and even question ourselves if that was too kind.
The wait was an absolute killer, it really should not take that long. The food hardly justified the waiting time.
Once can only imagine that without Burpple Beyond, how disappointing of an experience it would have been...

LAST MINUTE ADDITION:
We saw a reasonably big order being prepped for delivery and we feel that they are overestimating their capability to cope. If you in house diners cannot get their food, external customers really should not be a target market.
FURTHER ADDITION:
We might be reading it wrong, but the staff seemed to have displayed a degree of passive aggression after we sat back down. And that could be another unsatisfactory point to note.

A REMINDER, don't forget that hotpot soup is chargeable.

And it's the restaurant's right to restrict, but they stick to the rule of 2 person being able to claim one burpple deal (so instead of choosing seafood platter and meatball platter, we only went for the seafood platter)

The seafood platter:
2 scallops 5 lala 3 mussels 3 prawns
No issue with freshness, knowing prawns, I'm 100% sure they're fresh, and having eaten the others, I think they are too.

Soup base (herbal half, laksa half) 15++
Seafood platter (2 for the price of 1, burpple deal) 30++

It seems almost insane that it's priced like that, call me a country bumpkin but is seafood so damn expensive that it's 30++

The hotpot soups is decent. The laksa meets my expectations, not unnecessarily coconut heavy nor was the flavour held back. The herbal soup was lighter and a good contrast, it does its best to look legit with the various herbs and roots, but starts becoming bitter at the end of the meal (nothing wrong with that in my opinion).
I am not sure if the soup can be topped up, the meal was not so long that it became necessary to check (at 15++ I hope that diners can get free top ups).

Food quality is good, but I conclude that without burpple, it's not worth your time and money (maybe even with burpple it's not worth it...).

Burpple beyond deal, 1 for 1 single scoop
That's 5 dollars. Nothing mind-blowing, but I did enjoy the dark chocolate, the flavour was executed very well, more than I'd expect at this price point

Deal was 20 skewers free 20 skewers, so a total of 40.
I think that option would fit a group gathering where every has a few bites while catching up.
Food was good, a little too much for 2 person.
Receipt attached for others to check the prices.

Originally thought the drink was a free drink bundled (like soda tap) but apparently you have to order an alcoholic drink in addition to the shabu. Come on... At least state alcohol in the deals (instead of "+drink").
That’s a little disappointing because I don’t really drink alcohol. And that it’s going to make the price much higher.
For the shabu, it was underwhelming, if not bad. The meats looked good, but was nothing to write home about. Honestly disappointing that the meats could not impress me, especially for a hotpot.
The only positive was the yuzu dipping sauce, and that’s saying a lot when a hotpot meal needs a sauce to prop it up.
Would not recommend, unless you really like the alcoholic drinks here.
Price was 46.33 after burpple 1 for 1.

Lemon, green apple, strawberry : lemon and green apple are ridiculously sweet

Pistachio, chocolate, cookie crumble : decent flavours

Overall not very good gelato

Worth it with burpple beyond 1 for 1, otherwise it’s not a good choice

Very nice tea flavour, went for au lait options.
With burpple 1 for 1, it’s a great deal!

Had teriyaki burger, and fried chicken burger. Chicken patties were tough, likely breasts portions,
Ordered sides loaded fries, and onion rings. Both felt more impressive.
Worth it with burpple beyond 1 for 1, without… I’m inclined to say no

Food was decent both main course were the baby back ribs, with fries and coleslaw, might be a tad underwhelming considering the price point (32 before gst and svc charge).
Ordered via QR code.
Good ambience.

Always forget about the price not including gst and service charge on the menu.
With burpple beyond 1 for 1, I guess it is barely acceptable. Otherwise I might be hesitant...(After some time has passed, I'd actually give a firm NO if there's no burpple beyond)

Ordered the burpple deal: 1 for 1 pizzas.
Had a shrimp marinara pizza (18.90 b4 gst) and smoked duck pizza (19.90 b4 gst)
Pizza was decent nothing to rave about though.
Pizza base was thin and crunchy, maybe a little too crunchy.
Weekend EPL match was shown on screen for the smaller indoor dining area.
Quite a lot of diners even when it was raining.
Probably worth it with the burpple deal.

(EDIT: as of 27 Jun 23, this stall is no longer on burpple beyond)
Used the burpple 1 for 1, order boneless chicken briyani for both serving.
Came with a packet of curry and onion coleslaw (the actual name evades me).
Briyani proportion of rice to meat was a little off (too much rice), would probably be enjoyable for carb enjoyers. Chicken was a little more spicy than necessary.
Curry is not savoury enough for me, and slightly more spicy than I'd like it (not ridiculously spicy though), felt that the curry didn't add to my enjoyment of the food
The onion was a good balance to the heat, and not overly pungent.

I'd say the food is fine with the 1 for 1. Less so without the deal.

Worth it with the one for one.
Pistachio is a premium flavour so an additional one dollar.
Just beside the rink.
