2 years after I’ve tried this and @baristartcoffee_sg ‘s cream puff still never fails to amaze me – that cookie crust, crisp to the bite; the luscious, creamy filling (it became a tad sweeter from what I remembered though) really hits the spot. This is REALLY worth every cent!
Was pretty bummed when OCD shut its doors in AMK last year, but am so glad to see that they’ve found a new nest! The location tag seems off; they’re currently located next to Jalan Besar MRT (114 Jalan Besar, S208834). Super accessible and they’ve kept prices really reasonable!
Got the double scoop: 85% Dark Chocolate and Cold Brew Fudge // 60% Dark Chocolate and Chocolat Banana. As a dark chocolate fan I definitely prefer the higher percentages. I was also pleasantly surprised by how poignant the cold brew was! Will be back to try other flavours (-:
Do show them some love💛🍦
These buns from @korfe.sg were reaaaally wholesome and satisfying☺️ I got to try the Matcha, Taro and Injeolmi buns! Needless to say, I loved the Injeolmi ones; think this flavour really stands out from what we usually get! Can’t wait to try the other stuff that they have!
P.S Korfe is at AMK Hub, not sure why the tag says Djitsun Mall.
Missing @pimpmysalad.sg, one of the best places to find balanced food that doesn’t compromise on flavour. Proteins in frame are the tempeh begedil and saamjang sirloin; choose from one of their combinations or feel free to DIY☺️
This was No.06: Goat Cheese, Tomato Chutney, Basil, Roasted Bell Peppers ($16). So simple, yet so, so fulfilling. It’s a flavour medley that really dances well together. Can I just add that galettes are a whole new realm compared to crêpes? Please try it if you haven’t.
Gonna be brutally honest here –
This trip was a major disappointment, mainly because of the service (or lack thereof). Upon walking into the store, there was little attention given and we stood there waiting to be acknowledged. The store wasn’t super packed, but it was mostly the disorganisation and lack of attentiveness from the staff that stuck out.
In terms of food, there isn’t much to complain about but I do wish they had informed about the change in tamago in the dons; they are no longer serving tamago in the dons, instead they have replaced it with “more appealing edible decorations”. We had the Bara Chirashi ($18.80) and Chirashi Don ($23.80), and there’s quite a wild variety of other bowls on the menu. This definitely wins points for being aesthetic, and the combination of rice + loads of sashimi is super easy to devour🤤
While the food quality isn’t too bad, the overall service and vibes of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. Maybe I just went on a bad day, idk😕
Walk into the shop and you’ll be gobsmacked by the aroma of chocolate (chocolate perfume, yes please!🍫). The 1-for-1 drink offer applies to the cacao tea and signature chocolate (72% Ecuador), we chose the latter and it was heavenly. Super thick and just the right amount of bittersweet; it’s a bang for your buck knowing that this is good quality, home-churned chocolate. Will definitely go again🤩
Didn’t know that Denzy had opened a new outlet in Bedok; this one opens till 2am over Fridays and weekends! Loveeee the interior decor, super chill and spacious. Denzy offers a good range of vegan options (I got the vegan (oat milk) dark chocolate sorbet and black sesame (non-vegan)) and it’s really palatable. Hope that more ice cream/dessert places will start to offer vegan options too!
Craftsmen isn’t new to us, but have enjoyed every visit regardless of the outlet we go to. The service is always friendly and exceptional, food and vibes are great. Here’s the truffle scrambled egg mushroom atop toasted sourdough, with feta cheese and pea sprouts ($20). Comfort food🤤
Note that the cafe only charges GST, no service charge. Perfect place for meetups and a good weekend brunch☺️
The food here was surprisingly good🤯 There was a wide variety of naan flavours available; we tried the garlic, plain, cauliflower, cheese and couldn’t stop nomming😋 the tandoori chicken and palak paneer were great too! While the portion sizes first appeared small, we were surprised by how full we were at the end of the meal.
Also love the environment, pretty quiet and hidden amidst the bustling around the rest of Little India district. Though the prices are slightly steeper compared to the usual coffeeshop stalls, I would gladly pay for this😊
Tom’s Palette has been one of our favourite ice cream places ever since their early days at Shaw Towers. I’m really glad that they shifted to the new space! With such a wide variety of flavours and dessert types, each visit warrants something new :-)
We had the chocolate sorbet // granny’s favourite // houjicha // cheesecake flavours. All were hits😎
Think somehow the food quality differs across the different outlets, found the suntec one of pretty good calibre compared to the one I had at marina square previously. Portions were generous and overall at $17.5 pp (after GST and SVC), this was better than expected😀 will visit again!
