East Meets West at This Quaint Brunch Spot This charming café serves up brunch delights inspired by both Eastern and Western cuisines, free from MSG and added preservatives. The wife opted for her go-to brunch favorite, the Smashed Avocado Toast topped with a perfectly sous vide egg—a staple she rarely skips. I went for something unexpected: an Asian Fusion Bowl featuring tender Grilled Boneless Chicken with flavorful Balinese Salsa, served on a bed of fragrant Japanese rice. A delightful mix of comfort and creativity!

Pricey for its quality...probably won't come back again :/ Ordered the grilled chicken thinking that it would be a no carb dish (rice was not mentioned on the menu). After the food came we were quite shocked and went to re-read the menu, only to see that this dish fell under the "East meets West" category which i guess was all served with rice (could be clearer on the menu!) Honestly super pricey at $19++ and for the quality + portion, i'd say that it's not really worth. Tried my friend's truffle mushroom pasta and it was disappointing too. Bland and watery🥲 not sure if it's just a bad day for the chef (because this place seems to have good reviews). The saving grace was the truffle fries! But I don't think I will be back again and would very much prefer to eat at Saizeriya.

Uni truffle pasta ($28++) truffle taste was strong and ikura provided a wholesome flavour. for the price, the cafe was quite generous w the uni (abt 4 - 5 pieces of small uni). however, uni was not as fresh as restaurant’s grade. nonetheless, dish was decent! also, do take note that cafe does not sells dazzling toasts anymore!

Balance burger indeed The creamy eggs, crispy bacon and the fresh tomato relish - balance indeed and yummy! Even the brioche bun deserve a mention, is pillowy soft and brown on the outside. 10 for 10!

impossible meatballs am a regular at grounded by cmcr and i've got to say this has been the most novel dish i've had in a while! the impossible meatballs ($18) are perfect for sharing! the taste reminded me of mexican food :3 may be a bit much for a single person to finish bc of the strong flavours. went well with the workout bowl ($17) that we were eating

Avocada Toast Very expensive plate of avocado toast but it tastes good. Bread was crusty and I like it that the feta cheese is not too pungent.

Chargrilled Unagi Kabayaki Tender, flavoursome freshwater eel char-grilled to a delicate crisp and glazed with sansho kabayaki, offering a balance of smoky depth. The nori strips complement the eel beautifully, adding a slight textural contrast 》$32.80

Umami Soy Chirashi A second-generation favourite featuring fresh, diced sashimi coated in a savoury roasted soy marinade. The balance of fish to rice was spot on, while the ikura delivered little bursts of umami that took each bite to the next level 》$19.80

Closing Down Promotion Had the 1 for 1 Maple Butter Cream Pancake as part of their closing down and relocation to the west sale. Paid $16.80++ thr price of one set. The whipped cream is flavourful and the flufflness of the pancake is amazing.

Light and fluffy Pancakes are light and fluffy, and good sized portions too. I enjoyed the plain pancakes This place is halal certified so you can bring your muslim friends too. Water is served here.

☁️ These souffle pancakes were extremely fluffy, akin to eating clouds, I mean, they better be since I waited so long for them. As someone with a sweet tooth, I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself favouring the Egg Benedicts pancake over their Berries ones. Despite having a mountain of cream served on the latter, it was not cloyingly sweet since it was pretty light on the palate. As for the Egg Benedict pancakes, 1 of it was served with salmon, while the other was with prawns. It was pretty textbook though, nothing much to shoutabout but still worth a try at least!

Go to place for Frozen Yuzu Beer! Great frozen beer - thick layer of foam was almost like an ice-blend consistency. Happy hour promo of $26 for 2 glasses was pretty worth it. Yuzu recommended, lychee was quite strange. Skewers wise, we ordered the Set of 8 for $15 which was quite worth it and we were very satisfied with the taste. Pork Belly, pork ribs, chicken wings, potato slices were all good. Added on the Foil-wrapped enoki ($6.90) and we loved the garlic topping.
