Moist and juicy dumplings filled with chopped prawns and vegetables with a crisp outer layer that gives you satisfaction with every bite. Make sure you also try their Jya Jya Men for the novelty of eating half your noodles dry, and then requesting for the warm broth and half boiled egg that comes with the dish to finish off the second half. 😋

The Set comes with 10 sticks of satay (your choice of mutton, beef or chicken), nasi himpit (think rice dumplings), cucumbers, onions and a piping hot bowl of chunky peanut gravy that was surprisingly delicious. Given that my expectations weren’t very high for a shopping mall food court, I’d say this was a very good find 😋😋😋.

How pretty are these deep red dumplings?! ❤️ The delicately thin dumpling skin envelopes a tasty filling of minced pork loin and an intensely flavoured (but not spicy) broth tasting of pink Szechuan peppercorns. Comfort food at its best. Diet tip: I usually have a basket of these and a vegetable side dish for a satisfying and filling carb-free lunch. 😋😋😋

I couldn’t get enough of these delicate, sweet flavoured shrimps 🦐 hailing from the waters of the North Atlantic. The remarkably pink but translucent shells were easy to peel, revealing firm and juicy meat underneath. A great source of protein and low in fat, I’ll definitely be back for this healthy and nutritious starter / snack 😋😋😋.

Tang Hoon (mung bean vermicelli) is placed beneath the clam meat to soak up all the delectable seafood juices released during steaming. The clams are then drizzled with hot garlic oil and sweetened with soy sauce for that extra aroma and flavour. 😋😋😋

Another winner from Wing Hop Sing. If you’re in love with their Minced Beef Claypot Rice (see earlier post) like I am, you have to make whoever you’re eating with order this Chicken and Mushroom Claypot Rice so that you can share both pots. You will taste a subtle hint of ginger in this pot of rice and the chicken is oh-so-tender and delicious that you might just want to have the whole pot to yourself. Add Chinese cured sausages for HK$18 / S$3 so that all the oil and juices of the sausages ooze into the rice for added flavour. 😋😋😋

For an authentic Hong Kong 🇭🇰 experience, tuck in to this warm bowl of creamy and smooth deliciously sweetened milk whilst waiters bustle around you in a setting likened to a Wong Kar Wai movie scene. A must go for Hong Kong first-timers. 😋😋😋

The cheese was just the right texture and amount that will not leave you ‘jelat’ (I’m not sure what the English translation for this word is, if you know, please put in the comments!) and who doesn’t like instant noodles! ❤️ I will miss this everyday until my next trip to Hong Kong 😭

Plump and juicy, with ample amounts of shrimp barely visible through translucent crystal dough. Plenty of umami 😋😋😋. It’s the cheapest Michelin-starred dim sum you can find, so give it a try whilst in Hong Kong 🇭🇰
