The place was fully packed with diners with some still on the list waiting for empty seats. Frisky Goat is a typical hipster designed cafe, decorated with everything that looks nice then mashed into one place without any clear direction.

I was recommended the Loaded Omelette (RM18.90 exclusive of GST and service charge), so I did had one. It is a huge omelette, half the size of the plate, with diced tomatoes, onions, mushroom, generous amount of mozzarella and parmesan cheese and my choice of beef bacon.

The omelette was indeed buttery and fluffy even though I still feel some air pockets inside the omelette. But nevermind, because I like the mushroom aftertaste in every bite that I had. I can strongly tasted the parmesan cheese and the gooey mozzarella cheese when I cut out my omelette onto my buttered toast! The salad was okay, but a light vinaigrette would make it even nicer!

This omelette is truly loaded with butter, cheese, and happiness!

Beneath the busy streets of KL Sentral, right in front of One Sentral foodcourt, lies this old cart surrounded by so many people. For over decades, this cart belongs to Mr. Chiam who sells his famous friend bananas.

You can only find four kinds of fried stuff in Mr. Chiam's cart, fried banana, sesame ball, kuih bakul, and curry puff. They could end up on your hands for RM1.30 per piece except for the curry puff which will cost you for an additional 20 cents.

Made with fresh and sweet pisang raja and completely coated with batter, resulting in crispy thin layered fried bananas. This batter is also used to coat the fried kuih bakul which is sandwiched between slices of sweet potato and yam. Do eat them while they are still hot to enjoy the sticky gooey kuih bakul in every bite! When common sesame balls are filled with red bean or green bean paste, Mr. Chiam's are filled with crushed peanuts and sugar covered with soft and chewy sesame skin.

All of the item Mr. Chiam made are guaranteed fresh because, why can't it be? His stall is crowded with customers every second!

The place always crowded, no surprise from the most popular buttermilk dish in town. Try to avoid peak lunch time rush hour and also note their long cooking time.

Even though they're famous for their buttermilk chicken dish, I ordered the buttermilk fish instead. The regular set (RM12.20 with GST) comes with a complete course of main dish, rice, soup, one glass of teh 'O" ice. Some cabbage are layered underneath the sauce, makes it taste a little cabbage-y, and connects the soup served in the set. The sauce is deliciously creamy and brightly shines as the main attraction of the dish!

Everything just taste exactly right and served in a perfect portion, not making you too full or queasy because it's too creamy. I often come to this place for a never-disappointing meal everytime I visit!

Melt'on is located on the same row as Oregi, The Hungry Hog, and Oregi. You can easily spot this ice cream parlor from the giant cow bench in front of it. The place was dominated with wood and cement element and it has this glowy and warmy feel if you visit at night.

Normal flavor scoop costs RM8, and RM9 for the alcoholic ones. This place made alcoholic flavored ice cream their star, and they made it. First round was brownie with Chocolate Mudslide and White Tea (RM18). Brownie was ok, but I would prefer the crunchy baked one. The Chocolate Mudslide was amazing! The server said there's a dash of bourbon in it but I didn't taste any. The White Tea ice cream that I chose, did manage to suppress both chocolate elements to not overtake the overall flavor.

Second round was Rum & Raisin flavor, shared with a friend. It was overwhelmingly good. It was sweet with a strong after taste of rum, which I love! Will definitely come to this place again!

This burger joint is famous of and claimed to be the first who started the burger bakar trend in Malaysia. One of the joints that I visited was the SS15 branch. The burger tower (RM14.90) was on the recommended list so why not try it?

Fortunately, the burger taste is not as disappointing as the place's looks. The tower burger has 3 patties of choice (chicken, beef, or lamb) in between the buns. Sadly, the set only includes fries, but no drinks. I picked beef, chicken, and another beef! I haven't been a fan of lamb.

It is called burger bakar because the patties are grilled, and my patties were grilled to excellence! The meat was juicy and smokey. Additional bonus, it still has a little bit of crusty seared outer layer. If you want to try a unordinary burger, then this Kaw Kaw burger bakar could be your to go to!

Taiyakie little stall is located right beside Starbucks near Asia Cafe food court. The stall is not designed as a place to hangout, so people would just have to take away their taiyakis.

The recommended fillings are read bean and ham with cheese and thus I picked the red bean. Unfortunately, the filling was not that good. It tasted quite bland and coarse. The pastry layers are actually okay if it was done right. The server didn't rest the taiyaki enough, leaving the pastry soggy and not crispy yet. Leave it to cool for 3-4 minutes and I think it'll be better.

This hidden gem is located in SS13, inside EX8 building to be exact. The building is very easy to be spotted. Just look for the only black building in the area. For more detail, EX8 building shares the same space with City Harvest church, Food Industrie, and Ex8rcize gym, making it a perfect place to chill after church or your daily exercise too! The industrial design ambience is adapted from the EX8 building design itself. This two floored cafe is quite opened because of the huge glass covering most of the front and upper part. Hence, it is preferably to visit in the afternoon when the sun starts to get warmer or try to find seats covered with shades.

The people are very nice and friendly! One of them even noticed me sketching inside the cafe and took picture of it! The photo here is credit to @greyskymorningkl!

Have a seat and grab a cup of latte (RM11).I also had a slice of salted caramel cake which is good for you who likes sweet dishes (RM12). For me it was strange because the cake tasted too sweet. The cake itself is already sweet and later added with additional sweet cream icing. However, the salted caramel sauce was good! This place is also convenient because Food Industrie is just next door. So if anybody is craving for something heavy, they will just have to drag their chair across the glass wall.

Don't miss the infamous gorgeous chandelier hanging on the ceiling near the second floor!

This is massive porky goodness! The hogfather was a beast! For RM98.90 I got 8 different ways of cooked pork. You name it, ribs, pork chops, sausages, bacon, ham, pulled pork, meatballs, and patties! Everything was amazing! Most importantly, I love the patty, ham, meatball, and sausage.

The patty and meatball basically tasted the same. They were so meaty and juicy and so full those savory goodness. The pulled pork tasted familiar, like a particular spice commonly used in curries. I cannot name it however. I can't say it enough but the five of us was super satisfied with this one platter of hogfather.

For dessert we also shared a cup of bacon gelato. It was full of vanilla beans which made the gelato so flavorful. The bacon bits given was quite generous. What unites these two elements is the honey drizzled on top of the gelato. My first bacon gelato experience was pretty great!

When I first arrived at this place, the front door area didn't really interest me to spend my time in this cafe. I looked up for some review and was convinced to go inside. The people were friendly and the place was very cozy with cute decorations and furniture! You can choose between sitting on tables which were designed like classic granny's old sewing machine or just lay low on the comfy bean bags. I love that they put an old bicycle as a decoration (and this is one of the strongest reason I picked this place!). Also a special mention for the Kolumpo movie poster hanged on the kitchen wall.

Rekindle is filled with so many choices of beautiful and tempting cakes, from brownies to alcohol cakes! Price varies from RM12-16. Unfortunately, I came there to do work so I forbid myself to buy any cake or I would just end up just eating cake only. I will definitely buy a slice or two on my next visit!

One menu that made me curious was butterscotch coffee. The price was quite normal for a flavored coffee (RM12). For coffee, it tasted very sweet. I usually don't like sweet coffee but I found this coffee pleasantly sweet which means I don't hate it but don't love it as well. Most probably will come here again to sample the gorgeous cakes!

I finally had the chance to try the famous char siew wantan mee in SS2. Rumor said that this place is always full and people will have to queue. I came precisely at 6pm when the evening shift just started and it was still empty. Right after 15 minutes the place was swarmed with hungry diners.

The good news is the standard char siew wantan noodle costs RM6.50, which is quite the same with common wantan noodle found in most food courts.

The noodle was standard, but the char siew was to die for! The meat is tender with half and half ration of fat and meat. The dark caramelized outer layer is very delicate and sweet but savory at the same time! Be prepared to found some tiny bits of fried pork lard beneath the noodle! The wantans and broth was porky flavorsome with a dash of sesame oil flavor. I regret the fact that I didn't tapao some char siew when I went home and just craved for more!

Never underestimate an old-school-looking-kind-of place, for something wonderful usually comes out as a surprise. This time it come from an old dimsum restaurant located in SS2 called Loong Seng. Dining in this place is quite unique because the dimsums will come to you in a giant bamboo steamer and you can pick them out yourself.

For starter, I picked my obligatory dimsum menu which are siew mai, har gau, and char siew bao. The siew mai was okay and the shrimps inside the har gau had the crisp texture which means that they are fresh! The char siew bao for me was not really nice because the sauce was not sweet enough for my liking. Other dish that I had were beancurd rolls with sweet and sour sauce and another beancurd roll but with more pork and shrimp mixture and no sauce. Both of them taste good but I prefer the one with the sweet and sour sauce.

To close things up, I ordered a plate of dragon whisker and sesame ball. Those sweet dimsums surprisingly tasted the best! The dragon whisker here is a steamed banana, coated with red bean paste and then enveloped with crispy fried vermicelli. Unfortunately my dragon whisker was served cold so I couldn't taste the warm gooey paste more. The sesame balls were also great! The outer layer is crunchy but the green bean filling texture was soft and fluffy! Best eaten when they are warm.

Other uniqueness of this place is there isn't any dimsum menu and price list visible around the restaurant, only the beverage list. From what I heard, the prices are according to the color of the plates. For rough calculation, 5 small metal plates, 1 blue plate, 1 green plate, and a glass of iced Chinese tea cost me RM30.30.

When talking about ice cream (I'm sorry but) I tend to compare it to Inside Scoop's. When I finally visit this place I was quite anxious on how the ice cream will taste. The flavor range they serve is quite normal as they normally serve in any ice cream parlor. I tried a double scoop waffle with Belgian chocolate and hazelnut almond flavor.

A single waffle served with two ice cream and cuts of little bananas drizzled with caramel fudge sauce. I think the bananas are way too small by the way. The waffle was the crispy type. The crispy outer skin with a little fluff part in the inside. The waffle was good and not to sweet to prepare a place for the ice cream to shine. The ice cream itself was quite good. The only thing was it wasn't creamy enough for my expectation. The Belgian chocolate was quite good and the hazelnut almond flavor also lived to its name with balanced ratio of hazelnut and almond flavor.

Avoid visiting this place on weekend nights as the place was not big and it was hard for me to find a place to sit when I got there.
