Casuarina Curry has been one of my family's favorite places to have prata since I was young! (We travelled from Sengkang for this so you can tell how much we love it)
Casuarina Curry has a large variety of prata flavors, as well as other Indian food like Thosai, Briyani and many more! Prices are affordable as well, with the plain prata sold at $1.30! The Upper Thomson branch is definitely the best branch out of all the branches in Singapore :-)
โผ๏ธ Breakfast time is a very busy and crowded time so I would suggest going around 11am when it's nearing lunch time!
$4.00
(+$1.00 for Scrambled Eggs / Cheese)
Ever wondered how breakfast food will be in a burger? Well, this definitely fulfils everything. Tender bacon, a half-runny egg with a piece of crispy hashbrown topped with a soft bun; who could have any complaints about this mouthwatering combination?
The store is easy to spot as it's all green and stands out from the other stores! I'm a huge fan of breakfast food so this is definitely going to be a store that I'll be going to often (and get fat along the way as well HAHA) โบ๏ธ
$5.80 per bao
min. 2 baos (mix & match)
I really liked the salted egg chicken bao! The chicken was super crispy but moist on the inside, while the salted egg yolk sauce was flavorful and paired well with the chicken. I would definitely come back for this again!
The pulled pork bao was disappointing, however, and when it was presented on my table, it had a tad odd smell. The pork was dry and the coleslaw on top of the pork just didn't work and I ended up not finishing it.
They have many flavors of baos so do go check them out! ๐

Wonderfully tender and melt-in-your-mouth, I have literally no complaints about this Lu Rou. The lu rou consisted mostly of the fatty part, however, so if you aren't a fan of the fatty parts, you might only end up eating the meaty parts, but I still highly recommend this dish to all fatty and meaty lovers โบ๏ธ
I love the concept of Five Ten, where everything is charged at $5 or $10. However, the price is subjected to service charge and GST so prepare more money for your trip there!
$9.90
Set comes with cookie and a scoop of ice cream of the flavor of your choice!
Super big fan of salted egg yolk and this dessert definitely didn't disappoint! The cookie was soft and moist, but was slightly crispy when I cut through it. The salted egg yolk lava is to die for and the PB&J ice cream was not too sweet and matched well with the cookie ๐ช
This place has one of the best customer service I've experienced in Singapore! The staff were all so helpful and thoughtful and committed into putting up good food and at the same time, providing quality service. Located at a cozy corner near Jalan Besar Stadium, I'll definitely be back for more!
โ๏ธSnatch Singapore is currently having a coupon where you can get another free scoop of ice cream with any cookie set ordered. EXPIRES ON 01 AUGUSTโ๏ธ
Bacon and eggs baked in tomato red pepper sauce served with home baked tortilla chips for dipping. Kinda an average option on the menu. Top up $2 to switch up the chips with garlic bread!
$1.20
Bless this curry puff ๐๐ป I'm still in complete awe at how long this curry puff stays hot for! Super crispy and still warm even after more than half an hour.
This curry puff has a moist inside and a sweet taste and slightly spicy taste, unlike most curry puff stores which only has a bland taste.
They also sell a variety of flavors here so do go down and check them out โบ๏ธ

Another one of my favorite small eats to have ever since I was a little girl :-) Sad to say that the standard has dropped since then but it's still delicious and one of the best egg tarts in Singapore.
The custard was sweet and fragrant, and I could taste the egg-y taste in the custard while tart was flaky. It's also one of the few stores in Singapore that still sells the traditional diamond-shaped egg tarts. I also love their Nonya Kaya and I've been having it ever since young and I personally feel that it's one of the best Kayas sold in Singapore so do purchase it while you're there as well!

This is one of the desserts that Mei Heong Yuen is well-known for! โบ๏ธ I've been having the chocolate one since I was young but after trying this, I think I'm switching to mango from now on! Especially since the weather has been so hot recently, this dessert really cools you down. All around me, the tables were filled with plates of Mango Ice, both tourists and locals alike.
They have a wide range of flavors available, from Milk Tea to Chendol, which really caters to everyone's differing tastebuds so do go down to try it out!
$3.50
Mei Heong Yuen Dessert is one of my family's favorite spots to eat at ever since I was young. The desserts here never fail to disappoint, though I felt that the standard has dropped since my childhood days. However, the service is incredibly fast. Just a mere minute after we ordered, all our orders were already served to us. ๐๐ป
The barley ginko here is more pricey than those you would find at normal dessert stores in hawker centres but the barley ginko sold at Mei Heong Yuen definitely packs much more flavor. Most stores' barley ginko is watery and unflavorful, however this barley ginko was flavorful and had the soy bean taste. I personally feel that you should have it cold, but you can try the hot one as well!

Waited 30mins in line just to get this and it's definitely worth the wait!
The char siew was tender and the potato-wrapped prawn was super crispy (and reminded me of potato rosti!). The wantons were well-cooked and the noodles were springy. Overall, it was a rather satisfying meal.
However, one of the reasons why I would definitely go back to eat again is because of the humble and down-to-earth owners and cooks of A Noodle Story. Determined to serve quality food, I saw pieces of cooked prawns being thrown into the dustbin if they were not up to satisfaction. Also, they were super detailed with the presentation and took the time and patience to ensure every bowl looked its best even though it was during the ever-so hectic lunch hour. I have so much respect for the people at A Noodle Story and appreciate the effort they put into every single bowl. Kudos to them โบ๏ธ

The toast was super duper crispy and thick at the same time. However, the thai tea kaya lacked depth of flavor, and though I was soaking my toast with the sauce, I just couldn't taste the flavor of the kaya. A little disappointed with the sauce but super satisfied with the toasts!
