Matcha White Chocolate Muffin ($4.50+) I felt that matcha taste for muffin and sauce itself was quite weird and sweet tbh. I always missed this limited edition flavour a lot of times since they released on Apr or Sep depends on the seasonal period. But the muffin was quite dry and complement with white chocolate sauce inside the muffin. It was a bit disintegrated, sauce melted it off and got oil spilled it through (paiseh due to misplaced)

2 for 2 Entertainer App Bought the carrot, earl grey lavender, cookie & cream & salted caramel ($10.70) by using the Entertainer App. Cupcake was above average but not mind blowing. My favourite would be the carrot flavour

$24 For 6 Cupcakes Plain vanilla have very excellent cupcakes and of all the cupcakes, white chocolate strawberry is my favourite. -White chocolate strawberry -Chocolate banana -Red velvet Red velvet and chocolate banana also quite good. Generally, all their cupcakes are good. Quite expensive, each cupcake is about $4 each.

French Toast $15+ OMG. Best French toast ever. Soft and warm. Ample portion size. Great sweet sauce and strawberry mash to go along. I highly recommend this dish, when at mon bijou. 5 stars all the way

Wagyu Beef Burger $28++ Nice burger, good presentation. Portion size was good. Beef was well cooked. Juicy and tasty. Salad on the side was ordinary. Fries were okay. Also doesn't do justice to the price tag. It's a hit and miss for me. 3 on 5

Salmon Salad $20++ Presentation very ordinary. Almost like home cooked. Taste was okay, but they were out on avocado. Still charged us the same price. Big negative. Salmon was well cooked and portion size was good. Service was okay. The restaurant closes at 7, which is odd for a dinner place. Decor and seating is nice. 3 on 5. Hit and miss

Crispy Suckling Pig With Prawn Paste I love suckling pig and this one is succulently good. I’m here for their ala carte buffet and this only serve once. Very nice ambience. Something different from the usual buffet. It’s a hidden gem in orchard road. They have a whisky bar within the restaurant too. Worth coming back

Suckling Pig Tapas The food is pretty average with 30 choices and 6 of them (limited to 1 order). The only standout is this suckling pig tapas. The food are quite cold when served, not too sure if it’s cook to order. Service is not excellent either. Did not give us a heads up on “last order”. STOP serving even tea & water after “last order” 😡 made no sense

More milky than the usual bingsu 𝐈𝐧𝐣𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐦𝐢 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐮 (𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 - $𝟏𝟑.𝟗𝟎) I think Nunsaram does their shaved ice well, it’s milkier and has more substance than other places, which would explain the satiating feeling as you dug into it. However, it wasn’t compensated with enough toppings, as seen by the naked spots of the sparse soybean powder. They did serve a generous portion of delicious tiny bits of mochi, and there was somewhat of a second layer of power, but I found myself digging spoonfuls of plain ice shavings pretty often. Student-friendly Korean place! The 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐤𝐛𝐨𝐤𝐤𝐢 ($𝟏𝟒.𝟗𝟎) was a perfect sharing platter, with rice cakes, fried dumplings, fried seaweed rolls, fish cake and gimbap! The sauce is sweet, not the most spicy, and it went well slathered onto the ingredients. We ordered an additional 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐩 ($𝟖.𝟗𝟎). I’d say that this was a pretty generous portion for the price! Overall, the food is nothing mind-blowing. However, they often have promos, when we went, it was $2 off the bingsu if you ordered it with the Tteokbokki. The three of us ended up paying $14.20 each for 2 meals and 2 desserts to share, and for a super satiating and fulfilling meal, I would say it’s pretty worth! Choco Banana Bingsu This mountain of shaved ice was coated with Choco powder and encircled in banana slices. It was topped with whipped cream, brownies and rich chocolate ice cream. Every mouth had a burst of chocolate flavour and there were even more chocolate powder within the shaved ice. The condense milk gave another kick to the dessert and my friend and I were certain we were gonna get diabetes after this hahah Sinful but worth every calorie!! Taste: 8/10 Presentation: 8/10 Embience: 8/10

Braised Pork Belly Bao $9 Fatty pork belly lacquered in a dark soy glaze, sat snug with pickled cabbage, cilantro and peanuts in a pillowy mantou bun. This is a fair rendition of a classic that I wouldn’t mind ordering again as nibbles to go with Zui Hong Lou’s cheap but excellent cocktails. Taste: 3.5/5

Crispy Squid $9 Beautifully crispy deep-fried squid dusted in Sichuan seasoning, served with mouth-watering spicy Sichuan BBQ dip and pickles. Now this is top notch bar food. Taste: 3.5/5

Chong Qing Wings (6pc) $10 Don’t wing it when it comes bar nosh, your drink deserves to be paired with good food. This crazy good double deep-fried chicken really takes flight with a crisp exterior dusted in house Ma La spices and tender, succulent meat within. There’s 3 levels of numbing spice to choose from, and I suggest going for the strongest. Then wash it down Ba-Kwa Old Fashioned. Taste: 3.5/5

Churros N Yogu ($4.50) - 2 churros served with yogurt and Choco Matcha topping. You can also select either Classic Chocolate or Choco Espresso as toppings! The churros were freshly fried with a light crisp but were too doughy on the inside. Dusted with cinnamon sugar, the combination with the yogurt was refreshing and tantalizing when you experienced both hot and cold at the same time. It tasted best when you dipped the churros into the yogurt! The yogurt was icy and melted fast, without any hint of matcha even though it was bathed by a generous amount of Choco Matcha. Lots of interesting dip such as chocolate, choco espresso, choco matcha, peanut cream (our fav) and cheese. Churros N Yogu (SGD 4.50) - The mini version of the parfait which will cost SGD 5.90 instead. Froyo tasted sourish (I liked!) but a bit icy. A richer and smoother texture would be good. Hidden gem of a Japanese pastry shop Set for 1 ($12) included a slice of cake as well as a drink. Chose the Mille Feuille - how do you even pronounce this? - as well as an iced fruits-loaded earl grey tea. Loved the cream and raspberry jam in the Mille Feuille, but didn't care much for the puff pastry. The iced tea though, so refreshing! I still think about it until now.

Uji Matcha Cake [$40] Birthday cake choice this year is Chef Yamashita’s Uji Matcha Cake! Only thought that the toppings didn’t really match the cake, but otherwise it was a very lovely one to have - light cream all around and especially enjoyed the middle matcha cream that was distinctly bittersweet. Sponge was soft too. We had the smallest size but they have many sizes to pick from to suit your occasions

Coffee Cookies, Almond Cookies I love both the cookies. Buttery and fragrant and also affordable at $6.80 per pack. Cny period and others are selling cookies at cut throat prices. I don't really fancy the fanciful tins of some shops. I rather the shop spend less and pass the savings on to the consumer. Just my personal opinion. I am going to eat the cookies and not the tin anyway. On the left of the picture is the Earl Grey financier. Somehow I don't really detect the fragrance of any Earl Grey. I will give the financier a miss.

Milo Dinosaur Mini Long time customer here. The milo dinosaur iced shavings, coupled together with Koko Krunch and Milo Nuggets, is a good combination that brings both comfort and nostalgia for a nice dessert to have.

Best Shaved Ice! The shaved ice looks normal, but the flavours are surprisingly rich, especially the durian flavour. It's great that they allow customising the ingredients with the shaved ice, and offer smaller sizes to allow people to order more types to share! There's also a wide variety of other desserts in the menu. And they open till late which is great for that sudden craving when most dessert places are closed 😁

Cream Puff The creamy filling with a hint of vanilla flavor. The puff wasn't too thick but still able to hold the cream. So good. 😭😭😭

Chocolate Tart Chocolate tart with chocolate filling. Right amount of sweetness and the chocolate nicely melted in the mouth. Can't have enough of this!!! 😋😋😋

Salted Egg Prawn Eggs Benedict This dish (as well as the other dishes) is pretty unique. I mean, it's not everyday you see a creamy version of salted egg mixed with hollandaise sauce. The bread is soft and nice, eggs poached well, i'm just wondering why they used prawn, of all meats. Also the kale didn't seem to complement the other ingredients. But overall it was a satisfying meal (the salted egg is worth a try), and I liked how the portions are not too big and doesn't leave you with a jelak feeling. Best part is that the prices are cheap (for cafe food), the place is spacious and empty (good for catchups) and there are power points for you to charge your devices~

Looks Decent, Taste Disappointing I must say the prices are cheaper than your regular brunch places because they do not charge GST and service charge. However...this place did not impress. My review: Tom Yum Creamy Prawns Pasta - 7/10. Tad bit creamy. But overall taste is quite nice. Best to share to avoid “gerlat-ness” Roast Beef - 5.5/10 I was eating beef jerky. Seriously. No further comments. (And chickpeas seriously? Hahaha)

Eggs Benedict - Salted Egg Yolk Prawn And Salmon Eggs benny can’t go wrong (if you stick with the classic) - the smoked salmon version was pretty good! Serving is just nice and unlikely to hit you with a food coma after your meal. The “salted egg yolk w prawn” was too Asian for my liking. Prefer the authentic tzechar version of salted eggs prawns fried to perfection instead of a salted eggs infused “hollandaise” sauce layered as a cream over prawns which are separately cooked (ie. not infused and coated w the salted eggy unless you dip it into the hollandaise). Worth a try for all salty eggy fans tho! But definitely not if you’re really craving for the real deal!
