I hardly eat char kway teow but this char kway teow in my opinion is really good. The fragrance of the wok in the kway teow. The rich taste w dark sauce plus the cockle plus bean sprouts i would rate this kway teow at 8/10 on the taste.Ambience is hawker noisy, stuffy place 3/10. Pricing is $3-$4.
The noodle is very QQ, meat ball is self made is consider huge compare to those normal sizes. But the sauce is not as good as the MacPherson bak chor mee. Soup is not as thick as it also. Over all 6/10. Pricing is about the same $4.
Love the soup base, herbal and peppering taste, rich taste. Meat is slight harder then all famous bak ku the that I tried before like (have tasted Mei hua, song fa, founder, ng ah sio, xiao dong, Hong ji etc . Song fa meat will be more tender then ng ah siok. But soup I prefer ng ah siok. Average 2pax or bak ku teh is about $35 Include all the sides
Not bad but found it overrated. Would rate it 6.5/10. $12-15 for a 2 pax portion. Wouldn't go back, find it not worth the trouble of the location.
Always come here for steak/lamb first pricing is good. Average two pax about $60. The grill is left a fragrance taste on the steak itself, marinated w salt, pepper abit if garlic mix. It taste good. Ambience is fine, air condition, food quality is consider good.
Queue was about 45mins long. Creamy coconut Chinese style curry. Tao Kee was the highlight and the fish was not overdone. Might go again depending on how long the queue is and how hungry I am. Non-airconditioned, expensive by Malaysian standards.
Good, keep coming back for more. Mostly just Tao Kee soaking in wonderful brown sauce. It goes very well with the food. :) slightly costly at about $12.50 for 2 pax, location not the most convenient as always have to cab to and fro. Hawker ambience non-airconditioned so you may want to dress lightly.
One of my favourite dish all the time enjoyed the way they cook, love lamb meat add extra more Chilli cook w the signature sauce and garlic , love it!
I been here more then many times this dish do make me come back for it I will rate it at 8/10.
Each individual set is about $10. I always request more customize to my individual taste.
I took a video of the way it cook but a pity burple can't upload a video.
The noodle is very QQ, Liver cook just nice as I like it. Sauce goes well with the noodle, pork, fish cake. Not over cook catch well the time of cooking. In over all is nice but not super fantastic. Location is too out of the way, only pass by then will come here to eat if not. Not really.
If will to ask me calories does it well spent I would rate 6/10. But indeed this bak chor mee pricing is consider good & cheap. About $4 per bowl.
