Affordable cafe in the heartlands We tried the coconut Pandan Mille crepe. If you have it in the store, comes with some cute chocolate sauce! I love the flavour profile of the coconut Pandan and it’s quite good! Also tried the Belgian chocolate, French vanilla and lavender crepes flavours ➡️ Like the Belgian chocolate and French vanilla Find the lavender crepe a bit plain - no distinct lavender. With the burpple deal, the price point is very good. If visiting, would recommend giving the crepes a try.

Affordable cafe in the heartlands Ordered the Japanese curry omu rice with chicken cutlet. Pretty decent portion for the price! With the burpple deal, it’s a good and hearty dish! I think good to share this with the gyudon.

MAKINO COLD TOFU The Makino Cold Tofu ($5.90) is even better than my last visit💯‼️ highly recommended - the unami broth is so addictive with the soft tofu 😍 needed one plate for myself 🫢

Matcha Blueberry Donut Finally tried to get their donut so long 👀 bc I just passby food fair @ taka and also they got booth at there. I saw that they sell a variety of different flavour for donut but not much left as I went around after work. So my mum felt that their donut texture similar to bread texture but its slightly dry and a bit hard to cut thru. For matcha filling, I felt that it's not much bitter and blended towards sweet texture and a bit blueberry aftertaste.

Melbourne cookie - Looked similar to the ones from Folks and Stories, chewy and chunky! - Roasted hazelnuts gave a crunch to the ooey gooey texture with caramelised burnt honey in the cookie mix, with an acidic fruity undertone of dark chocolate. - Loved how full-bodied it was ✨

Chocolate hazelnut passionfruit lava tart - Wasn’t as oozy as I’d expected but the sweet chocolate was well-balanced by citrusy passionfruit and nutty hazelnut praline at the bottom 🍫 - Hazelnut cookie shell was super buttery and the crisp crumbly texture contrasted well with the creamy filling!

Charcoal Grilled Chicken In Sweet And Spicy Sauce A rather unassuming Korean joint that exclusively serves chicken, save for a handful of sides. Chicken was expertly grilled and doused in a deliriously sweet and spicy sauce. Meat was spot-on tender; we couldn’t even tell the breasts apart! Comes w a few token tteokbokki pieces with a surprise cheese centre. Extremely satisfying. What can I say? This dish left me breathless. Chicken nut bread.

Decent Cheese Katsu! Back at @onkei.tonkatsu to try their other tonkatsu variations and was satisfied with their Cheese Rosu-Katsu Set ($19.90)! The pork fillet was quite well fried till golden brown and it was stuffed full of cheese! The meat itself may be a little dry, but it is definitely meaty. The chicken is best paired with the tonkatsu sauce, which was pretty tangy to cut the rich fat flavour from the cheese and meat fillet. They offer free refills of rice, soup and cabbage, and I liked the soup the best due to its rich meaty and umami flavours. This may not be one of the best tonkatsu I've eaten, but it's definitely decent, filling and affordable. A great lunch option for the offices nearby!

Chicken Katsu and Tempura Chicken Katsu is soft and Tempura is crispy. Not too oily. Cabbage is crunchy.

Karage and Oyster Karage is very soft. Oyster is fresh

Chicken sous vide donburi! Chicken breast sous vide donburi from @fukudonsg ! There is choice of soy honey or teriyaki sauce. Each bowl comes with onsen egg, petai and sous vide chicken breast! The rice bowl also comes along with a slice of tofu and seaweed miso soup!

Pork Mentaiko Sauce w Stir Fried Cabbage ($5) + ($1) for onsen egg I wanted to order chicken breast don one but got attracted by cheap deal (5 bucks lol) but then mentaiko sauce was too much alr and meats was not much tbh. stir fried cabbage just a bit oily and some of parts got char :")

Spicy Pork Don ($6++) Picture doesn’t do the food justice but this is my fav don from the this place. The pork is spicy and super fragrant, super appetising and I would crave for it sometimes!!! Have tried their other dons including: salmon, chicken oyakodon and their katsu and all really rather worth for the price point. Salmon offered tomato salad which was good! The katsu might get abit soggy and no longer crispy so would not reco that if you are going to takeaway

Mushroom Pasta The mushrooms were too salty and spoiled the whole dish.

Crab Tobiko Pasta Crab meat was fresh and sweet. Good!

Prawn Paste Chicken 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 ($7): While the strips of chicken breast were moderately juicy, we thought they were over-fried as some parts of the skin were charred. The prawn paste wasn't very distinct as well.
