Working For Food This cafe is snuggled along Arab Street.
We had the lunch set. There are 3 different sets. For each set, they offer different food options. It comes with a canned drink. Or for $2, you can choose fruit juice, iced tea or hot coffee.
1. Work Hard Lunch Set at $12
2. Work Harder Lunch Set at $14
3. Work Hardest Lunch Set at $16
I took the Work Hardest Lunch Set with the Cheese & Whiskers burger: Grilled beef patty with emmental, mesclun, mild cheddar, mozzarella, swiss, tomatoes and lemon garlic sauce. It was so good. You could add on sunny side up egg or turkey bacon. A la carte costs $20 so the set is definitely worth it.
The iced tea was weird, as I can’t taste what kind of tea it was. But it was not bad, still drinkable.
I ordered sides too, Ribena Wings. WHAT!? $12. Spiced and battered chicken drumlets (7) drizzled with reduced Ribena sauce. To be honest, I did not enjoy it. If it was fresh of the fryer, maybe it would have tasted better. So I just kept dipping it in chilli sauce to mask the taste.
Ok, so another dish under their Brunch Menu till 5pm.
WORKING BIG BREAKFAST $22
Grilled beef patty, beech mushrooms, focaccia, scrambled eggs, tater tots and turkey bacon with mixed greens. Boy, was it pleasing to the eyes and tastebuds.
We ordered smoothies well at $9 each. It was good but quite pricey for a small size:
1. COOKIE NOMSTER
Cookie goodness in a glass with oreos, milk and vanilla topped with Cookies & Cream ice cream
2. MONKEY BUSINESS
Get all up in this banana business with vanilla and milk topped with Banana Nut Crunch ice cream
