Set meal consisted of:
1) Truffle fries (UP $12): Light truffle fragrance with generous serving of parmesan cheese. It was decent!
2) Bruschetta Mista (UP $10): 4 pieces of bruschetta were toasted perfectly, with lots of tomato and mushroom. This was really good!
3) Pesto pasta (UP $20): Fricelli pasta felt abit undercooked, and the basil pesto sauce was slightly too salty. The scallops felt like frozen scallops from supermarkets that were chopped into thirds.
4) Crab meat pasta (UP $21): This was really good!!! The spaghetti strands were well coated with pink sauce and there were generous servings of crab meat.
5) Berry and lychee soda (UP $10): Berry soda had squashed berries in it. Lychee soda had canned lychees in it. Berry soda was more flavourful and aesthetics!
Saved $17 by using the burpple deal. Overall 6/10!
I preordered online to avoid the queue. Some of my friends have said that the wait can be up to 2h on a bad day. I got them at 6 for $16.90, that’s about $2.80 each! This is significantly cheaper than P&P.
• Crème Brulee: The custard was of the right sweetness. Do note that the torched crust is bitter, and not for everyone. The filling for this was the most generous of all the donuts I got.
• Maple Cinammon: This reminds me of auntie anne’s! The filling tasted like whipped cream to me.
• Blueberry Cheesecake: The filling was ~80% blueberry flavoured whipped cream paired with 20% blueberry jams like those old school bread. Couldn’t really taste the cheese.
• Donutella: Just the usual nutella.
• Raspberry Jam: The jam was a perfect balance between the berry’s sweetness and tanginess.
• Pistachio: The filling is really thick, nutty and fragrant. It will definitely hit the spot for pistachio lovers.
The bread is more of the chewy type, in my opinion.
Vanilla bean: Faint but authentic vanilla scent (can tell they didn’t use cheap vanilla flavouring).
Hojicha: Super gao, if you love hojicha you have to get this!
Passionfruit curd: This was my favourite! It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.
Blackcurrant and peanut butter: The peanut butter was really thick and the jam is homemade. Another must try!!
Strawberry jam: If you love jams, you have to try this. Homemade jams are just so much better!!
The donut texture is more of the chewy kind. Will definitely repurchase again!
As the name suggests, the quiche has a generous serving of mushrooms and the quiche was bursting with the flavour of roasted garlic. The taste of garlic lingered for some time, garlic lovers will truly love this! However, I do feel that the crust was a bit dry.
Prior to my visit here, I actually read alot of bad reviews saying the steaks here are chewy and the truffle fries have no taste. To my surprise, it’s actually not bad!!! The steak was well done and the sauce really complements it (maybe the restaurant is inconsistent?). The truffle fries are ok, those at the bottom lacked flavour. Paid $42 (inclusive of GST) for 2 ribeye steaks, imo it was really worth, definitely better than isteaks.
This is not the usual aglio olio you’re used to (i.e. spicy and full of garlic). All I could taste was the japanese furikake seasoning. It doesn’t taste bad but it’s just not what they are trying to sell it as. The prawns were really fresh!
