Assorted Bowl The Assorted Bowl ($16.90) comes with 12 slices of assorted seafood on top of flavoured Japanese rice. The sashimi slices are fresh, thick and full of natural sweetness. The rice is equally impressive - I’m not sure what they did to the rice but it is so flavourful that I did not need any additional sauce to go with the sashimi. This is one delicious and value-for-money sashimi bowl that you can find under a HDB flat at Tanjong Pagar Plaza.

Salmon Don ($10.90) Relatively affordable and yummy Japanese dons. The regular salmon came with 8 pieces of juicy salmon pieces. Not the best cuts (and one had a bone) but decent and enjoyable for the price! While most places serve standard plain sushi rice, love that their rendition comes with fragrant rice and a whole range of sides - chewy jellyfish, wakame, and crunchy pickles. The rice was flavoured with distinct but not overpowering truffle, with added delights from tobiko, sesame, and chopped mushrooms. Double scoop ($7.50) Had the Cookie Monster and Golden Yuzu. Cookie monster had chunks of cookies in chocolate ice cream, pretty good for chocolate lovers. Golden Yuzu had a slight tinge of the citrusy tanginess, but after a few spoons it became pretty average.

The Daily Scoop 🍨 Went to The Daily Scoop and ordered a Butterscotch Pecan ($5) and Kyoho Grape ($4) scoop!😇 Really loved the Butterscotch Pecan and its quite affordable so overall ratings are easily a 10/10 for me! Would definitely be back soon🤪

Felt like a sec sch kid Haven’t had The Daily Scoop in years lol I felt like a secondary school kid here. The waffles weren’t as I remember it to be though so I was a little sad. Ice cream was top notch as usual though.

Worth It With 1-for-1! (save ~12.50) This is definitely worth buying with beyond deals. Got the portobello mushroom, with pasta, spicy broccoli and cabbage and its so filling (even without any meat)! Set come with kombucha which is a great pairing to the healthy food. 💯

Honey Soy Chicken Bowl The burpple beyond 1-1 made this great deal! < $7 with a variety of options suitable for healthy eaters, and savoury eaters like me. The spicy broccoli was a unique add on, given that many western foods don’t have spice (and I love chilli). Came with a kombucha drink that had just the right flavour and punch.

Healthy Food At A Bargain I super love the food here, especially the spicy brocoli which essentially is mala brocoli. The 1 for 1 BB deal is a sweetener!

Marutama Tan-men A warm bowl or ramen soup is perfect during rainy day. And if you just want something to warm yourself without having too full, I would recommend their tan-men. The ramen is served in chicken soup with vegetables. Very simple yet very comforting. Generous vegetables provided as well.

Aka Ramen From Marutama Ra-men A comforting portion of mildy spicy Ramen with 7 ground ingredients (nuts & chilli) in chicken soup. Squeeze the lemon into the ramen which create more interesting layers in taste, come try then know. Highly recommended.

Marutama Ramen ($14.50++) A rainy evening is a sign for ramen. It is chicken broth but still a solid bowl of ramen. The flavour is lighter than most ramen that I had before but I still enjoyed it. It is served with some seaweed, spring onions, jammy ramen egg and Chashu. The broth is packed with chicken goodness and the noodles are thin but springy. Overall, it is slurpworthy. There is no dinner crowd too on a Sunday night.

Conveyor Belt Sushi Awesome collection of sushi, sashimi, appetizers, yakimono and agemono. From $1.80 & upwards, per plate. Simply enjoyed with the variety available here. Definitely will return for next round.

Cha Soba Noodles Cute mini size, easy to handle too. Yummy with the sushi & sashimi here.

Half Slipper Lobster ($3.20++) Actually, we got this for free, so yay. They're running a promo whereby you get a choice of half a mentai, miso or yuzu lobster with every 10 plates ordered which we pleasantly found out about when we went there for the National Day $1++ per plate promo (with >53 plates ordered). The sauces were lightly torched, albeit not evenly as can be seen in the photo. The mentai one was good (Love. Mentai.) and definitely would go for this over the other two choices. The miso and yuzu sauces did have hints of the respective but were a little too salty for our liking even when eaten together with the lobster. As for the lobster itself, it wasn't too bad. It's not gonna be great quality stuff, but I mean, it's overall worth trying at this price. 5/10 would recommend.

Oreo Cheese Cream Waffles ($3.00) I finally tried bakery cuisine waffles but express edition :") But I didn't expected that it was much better than triplets. Cheese Cream got strong milky taste and texture when I eat warm but need to eat while serving but oreo filling was spread evenly.

Lychee Cream Cheese $2.20 Was excited about this but sadly the lychee taste wasn’t as strong as I thought. Although the bread is very soft and fluffy

Blueberry Walnut Cream Cheese $2.50 Love the combination of creamy filling, sweet blueberries and crunchy walnut chunks!

3 stars out of 5 Got the Spicy Chicken Cheolpan ($8.50) and Spicy Chicken Japchae ($9.50), adding on Curly Fries + Drink for a grand total of $22.80. We liked the Pepper Lunch-esque cheolpan, especially the marinated chicken and the pops of sweetness from the corn. On the other hand, the japchae was just decent, just sweet potato noodles in gochujang-based broth with spicy chicken topping. Overall, nothing outstanding and I didn't think it was worth the price.

Bento From Omoomo Spicy chicken & Fried Karaage, decent portion of rice with kimchi. Yummy!

Kimchi Ramen From Omoomo Classic kimchi ramen, with sliced chicken meat. Rich broth matching the spicy kimchi. Not bad indeed!

Miso Maki Sauce was slightly sweet for my liking and the sauce could be torched a bit more. Decent portion for the price as the salmon was thick and the fish roe was really generous. Worth a try!

Chirashi Don Affordable Japanese food! Wide variety of fresh fish in generous portions. Nothing to complain about! The rice could be slightly more vinegary but generally a filling and satisfying meal!

Nabemono Couple Set - Assorted Premium Beef Without much expections for this place, this little hotpot did not disappoint! It felt nice having this after a workout at the sports hub. This little pot had lots of vegetables in it and alongside were pork and 2 different beef. 🤤🤤
