Small and it was served just in a small container. The alcohol taste was quite strong and the mascarpone was sweet and creamy, but we couldn’t really taste the coffee in it. All in all, average and not memorable.
I thought this would look better but the aesthetic was a bit lacking. The portion was also small and the beef was tough. The beef cubes were flavourful, but very tough (full of tendons that were very tough to bite). The sauce for this was quite watery too and didn’t stick to the beetroot Lunghi well.
The Fusilli Lunghi is very special, which I have not tried before. It’s very al dente and a bit like thicker version of Maggie Mee 😳. The truffle is quite strong and there’s a peppery taste to the sauce. The sauce is quite thick and sticks to the pasta quite well. However, we find the truffle + cheese + pepper combi was a bit..weird for us.
- Hammydinger ($14)
Turkey ham and chicken ham were slightly thick and goes well with the egg. The tomatoes were juicy and the egg was the same as above (creamy!!). We only had the plain bagel because all other bagels were oos:( The plain bagel was..plain but I love how they toasted it and it was still crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. It would be better if the bagel had more taste.
Garlic Salmon ($15)
Fresh, creamy and buttery Hokkaido Milk Scrambled Egg with a generous serving of smoked salmon! The egg was thick and creamy, and the cheese was melty and stretchyyy. Plain bagel was soaked in the truffle mayo sauce so it was quite soft and toasty!
On the 2nd of September, my partner and I decided to visit this cafe after stumbling upon it on Burpple. Excited about the potential 1-for-1 deal mentioned on Burpple, we inquired with the staff, only to be disappointed when they informed us that the deal was no longer available. This was a letdown as it was the primary reason for our visit.
Anticipating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for enjoying our coffee, we entered the cafe with high hopes. Regrettably, our experience proved to be anything but pleasant. During our visit, the staff started vacuuming, which not only created a noisy and disruptive environment but also left us feeling unwelcome. Their conversations carried across the cafe, resembling a casual gathering in their own home rather than a professional establishment. These disruptions only exacerbated our discomfort, making us feel like outsiders rather than valued customers.
While it is important to maintain cleanliness, it should not compromise the overall customer experience. We hope that the cafe can strike a better balance in the future.
Damage: $6 (1 for 1 Burpple)
Deep dark chocolate cup:
Taste: 3/10 honestly the deep dark chocolate is too sweet for our liking. It didn’t taste like dark chocolate and tasted more like milk chocolate instead.
Pistachio with Pandan cone:
Taste: 4/10 The pistachio ice cream had more of pistachio taste and was slightly better than the chocolate one but still way too sweet.:/ towards the end, I only could taste the sugar than the pistachio. The Pandan cone did not have much of the Pandan taste too.. tasted more like normal cone. Disappointed:/
I love Nachos but some of these were not as cripsy and crunchy as I would like it to be. Beef wasn't very soft but love the jalapenos which gave a kick to the overall mix.
Not very spicy and not much garlic taste. It was rather sweet with mild spicy taste. However they were very generous with their sauce!
4 kinds of sausages and all taste quite different! Some are slightly spicy but still a good variety! Not as big as we thought it'd be though.
P.S. The sauerkraut at the side was very dry :/
The coffee were good and I could also taste the oat milk which I loveeee!
Omelette has quite a strong taste of truffle and there was also cheese in it! Bread was crisp with some char. Hope that portion can be bigger for the price tag.
Damage: $24
