Crusty in the right parts, soft and fluffy in the right parts, and just tangy and sour enough. Warm steam rose as I tore open the gluten strands, ready to accept its accompaniment, a ridiculously flavourful whipped kombu butter. Yes. This is certainly bread at its very finest.
We also tried the fish and chips. I was impressed to see they use actual spuds. The fish used was pollock which had a delicious sweet, fresh-tasting flavor. And the batter...wow. Crisp, deep-fried golden brown and perfect batter to fish ratio. You canāt really ask for me in a fish and chip.
I had the lobster roll ($48) and LOVED IT. The lobster is so bouncy, sweet and fresh, plus itās from Maine too!! They came tossed in some mayo based sauce which thankfully was not too rich or overpowering. And the fluffy brioche bun was the perfect vessel for the lobster. The ebiko added some crunch and was the perfect cherry on the cake. It came with curly fries and some salad greens. The fries were super crispy and yummy too!!
We also ordered a teriyaki chicken, which turned out to be a deep fried, moist and juicy chicken chop coated with a sweet teriyaki sauce. It came crispy and hot, and was the ultimate comfort food. Itās so simple, but executed really well.
Normally comes with aburi salmon but we requested it to be switched out for tuna instead for a $2 top up. It was a good choice!! Except they could really do without all the extra mayo haha especially since the veggies alr had a nice tangy dressing. The tuna tasted fresh and sweet, and I loved the salty pop of the ikura and the crunch of the tobiko.
Decided to pop by here when my usual Sushi Tei had a really long queue. I was pleasantly surprised because this particular set was super value for money!! For $17 I got 3 thick (I mean at least 2-3 big bites kind of thick) glistening slices of salmon sashimi, 3 slices of well-marbled salmon belly, 2 aburi teriyaki and 2 aburi mentai mayo salmon nigiri. The fish tasted fresh and delicious too!!
The crowning glory of the meal was the Hot Honey pizza. Calabrese sausage and Roquito peppers alongside melted mozzarella, Gran Milano cheese š§ it was supposed to come drizzled with honey but I didnāt taste any. I loved the crust (which is my fave part of pizza), which was thin and yet chewy in all the right places. It was a tad spicy, just enough to wake up the palate. Nothing some ice cold soda wonāt balance out.

All in all, reasonably priced, tasty food in perfect portion sizes.
I liked the flavors in this delicious salad ($16). Creamy goat cheese and avocado, tangy balsamic and beetroot, and the earthy, nutty bitterness of rocket leaves. It came with two bread sticks which were made with the same dough as their dough balls and had the same problem; they were too cold.
The Festive Sampling Platter is one of their a Christmas specials which comes with 4 dough balls, 4 mozz sticks and 4 chicken wings. Ok this was kinda meh, the dough balls had a lot of potential (chewy with a nice texture) but were cold. But I did like the dips though; thereās a tangy chili dip, garlic butter and cranberry sauce.
This is so good!!
I had this warm and straight from the oven. Itās so soft and fluffy, with generous chunks of sundried tomato and feta cheese embedded in the lightly flavoured bread with an incredibly light, tender crumb. I wanted to try this fresh so I didnāt toast or butter it, but I can imagine how good itās go on a cheese board or with a hummus or avocado dip! The sourish tang is extremely muted, so itās kid-friendly.
You can have it sliced on the spot, and thatās so convenient! <3
I had a good dining experience here; like Haidilao minus the queuing and general drama haha. Yet their service remained really good!
I liked that they served lots of different types of dumplings. š„ My fave was the siewmai and shrimp wontons which I definitely recommend. The pic has their signature platter of 4 different types of balls entering the soup. I also liked their beancurd skin; that was super yummy too. I had their udon for carbs but it was so sticky and pre cooked already.
We had the drunken chicken and mala soupbases; I hate mala (unpopular opinion oops) and the drunken chicken was rather on the bland side for me.
The meal was finished off with PS Cafeās famous sticky date pudding served in a sea of toffee sauce and crowned with vanilla ice cream. I love this and it never disappoints!! Itās served warm and everything balances out; the toffee sauce is rich, buttery and not overwhelmingly sweet and goes well with the earthy flavor of the date pudding. Tied together by that cold, creamy ice cream. Love a dessert that is so beautifully balanced. š
