Injeolmi Red Bean Bun was never a huge fan of injeolmi but this bun converted me.. had it chilled and it was perfect🤤 the bread to filling ratio is nice and the mochi is really chewyyy!! rly glad i still have 2 more in my fridge HAHAHH

Look at that matcha cream omg Matcha Cookie Bun ($2 promo) Strong bitter undertones exude from the plenteous matcha cream filling. Not overpoweringly so, balanced out by the mildly sweet crumble topping. In comparison to the ones I’ve seen on IG, it seems that they’ve at least doubled or tripled the amount of cream since them 😳 Pretty worth the $2 if you ask me. IG: @eggeatsbread

Matcha Blueberry Donut Finally tried to get their donut so long 👀 bc I just passby food fair @ taka and also they got booth at there. I saw that they sell a variety of different flavour for donut but not much left as I went around after work. So my mum felt that their donut texture similar to bread texture but its slightly dry and a bit hard to cut thru. For matcha filling, I felt that it's not much bitter and blended towards sweet texture and a bit blueberry aftertaste.

Melbourne cookie - Looked similar to the ones from Folks and Stories, chewy and chunky! - Roasted hazelnuts gave a crunch to the ooey gooey texture with caramelised burnt honey in the cookie mix, with an acidic fruity undertone of dark chocolate. - Loved how full-bodied it was ✨

Chocolate hazelnut passionfruit lava tart - Wasn’t as oozy as I’d expected but the sweet chocolate was well-balanced by citrusy passionfruit and nutty hazelnut praline at the bottom 🍫 - Hazelnut cookie shell was super buttery and the crisp crumbly texture contrasted well with the creamy filling!

Beef Chili Con Carne Bruschetta Melted cheese on chili-tomato ground beef, mixed beans, with thick toasted Brioche, served with nachos & salad; $18.90. Add Sautéed Mushrooms; $3.50. The chili con carne is hearty and flavourful, and also goes well with the accompanying nachos. A sizeable serving, satisfying and worth it 👍

Sambal Cheese Grilled Chicken Sandwich | $15.90 Garden Slug Petite is a small cafe located in a relatively quiet neighbourhood of Kovan, but it seems to be a a favourite for regulars — especially when you can bring your fur kids here! The Sambal Cheese Grilled Chicken Sandwich was an interesting one, but I preferred it much more over the beef chilli con carne. The cheesiness went well with the sambal spiciness, and the portion of chicken was rather generous. Then again I am really not a fan of the deconstructed aesthetic of the sandwich. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Beef Chilli Con Carne Sandwich | $15.90 Pretty underwhelming sandwich for me. Couldn’t really appreciate the deconstructed aesthetic nor function here, especially when eating it this way just felt way messier than it should. Their K-Chick Waffle ($18) which consists of the classic fried chicken and waffles combination with an added side of kimchi and onion rings is exemplary of that. 5/10 food a nice cafe w good vibez + korean songs 🥺 ordered the bulgogi carbonara, mentaiko salmon rice bowl and chicken cutlet rice bowl but those were disappointing so it’s a 5/10 for me 🍽 nothing was outstanding and i will not have it again … matcha latte was alright tho … 🍵

10/10 vibes We read good things about the fish and chips. However, it turned out that the pork ribs and duck confit were better. The vibes, live music & service provided by the restaurant were great. Miso Pork Belly Bowl The miso pork belly bowl comes with homemade pickled cabbage, yakiniku sauce, onsen egg, sesame seed, spring onion and chunky slices of pork belly laid on top. The pork belly was thick and slightly charred to a nice burnt flavour. It was tender and juicy but I couldn’t taste the miso. Dipping it with the yakinuku sauce helps with the flavouring 》$17.90

Chilli Crab Pasta Spaghetti cooked with homemade chilli crab sauce and curry leaves, presented with a crunchy soft shell crab on top. The pasta was al-dente with a chewy bite. The sauce was done with the right amount of sweetness and a tinge of spiciness 》$18.90

Not bad, reminiscent of a good laksa bowl! Dry Laksa ($18 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - though the noodles were abit too soft, the sauce is thick and very flavourful, just like a good bowl of laksa. They gave 4 pretty huge prawns which were all plump and fresh! Not bad can try.

Pretty delicious Mentai Don! Salmon Mentai Don ($18 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - mentaiko really can't go wrong and for this bowl they were pretty generous with the amount of sauce! As for the salmon pieces, it seems like it's lesser than that of Chirashi. I still love the rice in here! The onsen egg just pairs well with everything in here 😍

Chunky fresh pieces of sashimi, not bad Lecoq Chirashi ($16 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond) - pretty generous with the sashimi ingredients, the sashimi pieces were fresh and chunky! I must say they gave alot of rice, but I ain't complaining because their rice were well seasoned and pretty darn addictive. Love the onsen egg as well, as it acts as a good medium to combine everything together!

Double Scoop Waffle Thick and golden brown waffles are done to a crispy texture on both the inside and outside. I personally prefer waffles that are crispy outside yet fluffy on the inside hence the waffles at Around didn’t appeal to me. Moving on to their gelato where I got myself the strawberry cheesecake and Yakult oreo. I like the strawberry cheesecake where they balance the creamy and savoury flavours well without being overly sweet or cheesy. The Yakult oreo was on the icier side and it kind of fell short on the Yakult flavours 》$15.90 + $1 Premium Flavour
