Latte was smooth and well balanced. With the added lavender, I must admit that it have that soapy smell and aftertaste. It was not too bad, but probably not something I would try again? I guess it's more for those with a unique palate.
The French toast at Maison Ikkoku is served either with fresh berries, or sea salt caramel. Two large pieces of toast drenched generously with sea salt caramel, topped with roasted walnuts, caramelised bananas and mascarpone cream cheese with a cinnamon-coated orange. If you like sweet desserts, this will be perfect for sharing! Photo by C G.
If you're approaching French Toast as a dessert, this one will satisfy you. Served as 2 slices of brioche stuffed with bananas and drenched in maple syrup, vanilla yoghurt and blueberries, this is sweet and decadent without being too heavy. The texture and portion is perfect, definitely a must order! Photo by Gavin Chan.
Already known for their great brunch items, such as their Flan (which you should get before these waffles), Symmetry also nails the waffle. At $14, bananas, strawberries, peanut butter, hazelnut chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla ice cream sit atop crispy, fluffy waffles. Get an extra scoop of blueberry ice cream for a near-perfect dish! For $11, these huge pancakes are simple and satisfying, served with a good dollop of butter and just the right amount of maple syrup. A great place for brunch or tea time, come here and relax with a good book, or a good friend to chat with. Photo by Rachel Xie.
D.O.C certainly has an edge over the rest by nailing both the sweet and the savoury buttermilk waffle. The savoury sun-dried tomato and herb waffle with bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs and maple bacon jam is a perfect choice for breakfast. The sweet version comes with caramelized rum bananas and vanilla bean ice cream, and has won over many dessert-lovers hearts. Why not try both next time you head down? Photo by Eleanor Tay.
The lobster was lightly seasoned and not overpowered by the mayonnaise. Dip it in the garlic aioli and the flavour is elevated! Now I know why this is their signature dish
Lobsters were fresh and juicy. Love their sour cherry vinegarette
Cafe with a garden theme. Plastic flowers in cans, flower pots, etc, bed of plastic flowers acting as dividers and even their desserts came in flower pots.
It's interesting to be eating a flower pot with crushed Oreo as the 'mud' and cream cheese as the soil. And the Nutella seemed to be the water soil. It was an alternating layer of cream cheese, Nutella and Oreo bits, with the base ending with the crushed Oreo. Not too bad. Basically it's Oreo cheesecake. Goes for $5.50 each
I didn't really like this too much. I guess it's the bitterness from the dark chocolate that I didn't like.
Not as nice as the white chocolate chunk. But the cake like consistency remains.
