Flavour is amazing! Tried the Mermaid risotto and did not disappoint. The cream sauce isn’t too jelat and is very flavourful with the seafood ingredients.

Always meeting expectations! Ordered Mindy’s Chicken again after a long while and the standard is still great! Chicken chunks are tender and not dry, flavour is pleasant with slight tom yum flavour from the leaves.

Third Visit and Counting Every single dish at The Garden Slugs is just mouthwatering. We come back every time to try new dishes. We tried their Chargrilled Chicken Breast and Herb Roasted Fish today. Both took our breath away!

Forage Signature From The Forage Cafe Multi-floral Honey Citrus Jasmine Tea with Yuzu Blossom Jelly & Passionfruit Burst. Really its the cooling remedy for hot day indeed.

Turkey Ham & Cheese From The Forage Cafe Grilled buttermilk waffles stuffed with turkey ham and mozzarella cheese. Served with mushrooms and mixed greens.

Forage Big Breakfast From The Forage Cafe Brunch for one is definitely satisfying. Honey buttermilk waffles, smoked salmon, bacon, chicken patty, baked beans, mushrooms, greens & creamy omelette.

Curry Rice with Chicken Cutlet Hahaha the archetype of Lai Lai food. A simple dish that's not done properly. Too little curry for the rice, the cardinal sin for curry rice. Meat was okay but small.

Stew Beef Noodle I knew Lai Lai is dumb food, so I was surprised this was not bad. Tender, chunky beef, flavourful broth, and the noodles seemed imported from Taiwan.

Comfort food for a rainy day Herbal soup and sesame chicken Came piping hot and fragrant. The ngoh hiang was good too. The servings here are pretty generous (ordered the small), so do share!

Simple And Comforting Have eaten here a few times and really love how good and cheap the food here is. Taste quite homely!

Smokey Beef Bowl It's beef bowl is indeed smokey, with it being slightly overwhelmed by the teriyaki sauce. The cod fish bowl was good too! A little taken aback by the miso soup with beef essence too. (On burpple one for one! ) Love the veggie ratio here!

Affordable and Very Filling We like that it opens till 9pm near CBD, the pork bowl was great and very very filling. I find the Wagyu beef too tough to bite but my friend enjoyed it. Both meats are slightly charred. Worth it with Beyond redemption!

Truffle Tender Don ($24) Used the 1-for-1 promotion at Tokidon. It’s a small restaurant with a selected menu. Being the truffle whore I am, I dived straight into the Truffle Tender Don. I was definitely impressed by the aroma wafting in the air, tempting me to take a bite before I was done with the photos. One of my biggest concerns with rice bowl is the surplus of sauce which I feel ruins the overall flavor of the dish, but there wasn’t such an issue here. The only complaint I have is that the beef was slightly dry. It was still tender, just not juicy enough!

Thai Boat Noodles [~$3.80] At the price and being served in aircon comfort, I would say this bowl is quite a steal. Additional brownie points that they were generous with the beef slices. A pity that the broth was super salty and that made it hard to finish the meal.

Powernutter (M) [$8.90] This was surely a nutty bowl which worked my jaws. There were almonds, (slightly crunchy) goji berries, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, dark chocolate granola, and of course acai. The acai was well-blended and not overtly sweet. The star of the show was the homemade granola - it was hearty, sweet and oaty.
