This comes with the Palsaik set, and they allow you to top up with clear soup if you’re done with the first round.

Recommended for 2-4 pax but it fed the 5 of us (along with some sides) very nicely! This set comes with all eight flavours of the pork along with a soup. Also comes with free-flow kimchi – no wonder we were full. Meat was grilled perfectly, and also appreciated the fact that there’s someone to cook and serve you.

Solid pancake at this buzzy Korean BBQ shop. Crispy edges with a soft yet crunchy middle. Also appreciate the generous veggie-to-flour ratio.

A bit overpriced for these simple dishes but they were done very well. Good sides to have with the steam fish.

Was honestly super surprised to find yummy Thai food at this bar. Fish wasn’t the biggest but was steamed nicely! And that sauce, oh man it was sweet, sour and super spicy, but also very addictive.

New nasi lemak joint in SS2 serves up a pretty mean rendition! Find the usual works including fluffy and fragrant rice, sweet sambal (more sweet than spicy) and half a boiled egg. Beef was very tasty tho some bits were a bit tough. Still super satisfying.

Juicy pork gyozas but they were a lot tinier than usual. Good snack to have if you’re here for a light meal or to pair with the beers on tap.

Nicely charred ox tongue on a bed of fluffy rice. Simple and tasty. Beware of the chilli padi that’s folded in with the meat – very deadly if you bite into it.

A specialty here is the miso soymilk broth and it’s pretty interesting! Very creamy (milky too) with a touch of sweetness – might not be into it if you don’t like the sweet-savoury combo. Worth a try if you’re here.

New ramen joint in town and it ain’t too bad. There are a few types of ramen on the menu but we kept it simple with this. Expect rich and oily 20-hour pork bone broth filled with springy noodles, jammy egg and pork belly – I appreciated the char on the chashu. A bit small portion tho.

While it might not look like your regular bowl of bubur chacha, but close your eyes and take a bite and it’ll taste like the same thing. His deconstructed version sees bubur chacha ice cream on a sweet potato cake, topped with pumpkin brulee, coconut pearls and gula Melaka foam. Delicious!

A forever favourite here! I personally really enjoy how Marcus’s desserts are borderline savoury like this tart – the tartness from the asam boi is super prominent while the watermelon is there to provide more freshness than sweetness. Amazing butter crust as well!
