You can’t even choose two different drinks — both have to be the same, and only one size is allowed. Feels more like a gimmick than a real deal. To top it off, the drink itself was just average.

Not available on weekends Disappointingly sneaky. Staff said BB not available on weekends and claimed that the app is not updated. But nowhere on the app says it's not available on weekends and there's been reports of this from months back and no rectification has been made to the information available. Kind of sneaky of Chaffic. I get it if is not profitable for them to offer this discount on weekends but they should get BB to state it clearly in the app, not let the customer find out when paying.

Restaurant Quality Food With Zhi char Prices! Pass by this restaurant many times before but did not entry as it seems to be rather rustic. Recently a famous blogger visited and rave about the food here. Decided to visit since we are in the area. So glad we did! The food is simple but tasty. They serve classic Hakka food and such reasonable prices!

kinda empty. whole street was bustling except here. on a Friday evening 6.30pm. only 2 diners. a little sus and there was only the 6 course set available even though I booked via chope and indicated I'm using the chope voucher for unlimited signature set. staff said it's a one-off incident that the unlimited signature set was not available that day. and would be available any other day. so I'll come back another day, if this place still survives.

miso cod the place is picturesque. had the signature 6-course menu, it was pretty impressive. the presentation, the taste and the service. the staff eugene is really courteous, helpful, exemplary service. I would love to come back here repeatedly. I am hoping they live up to this standard always.

Splendid Spanish Establishment Small, cosy, and very homely establishment a short walk away from Beauty World MRT. Heard great things about this place so suggested it for a birthday celebration, and boy were the reviews all true - our meal here was so delicious and enjoyable and I would recommend this to anyone who loves spanish food! Started off with the Burrata, Prosciutto, Tomatoes & Focaccia ($16 for Tapa) and the Crispy Potatoes, Fried Eggs & Jamon Iberico ($12 for Tapa). Loved the freshness of the burrata and tomatoes, and the prosciutto was utterly delicious. As for th potatoes, they were so well-crisped and were perfect with the jamon and gooey yolk. However, our minds were blown away by the Sea Prawns a la Francaise ($14 for Tapa) - juicy, tender prawns in a divine butter sauce so slurp-worthy that we almost licked the plate clean. Any prawn lovers have got to try this dish for yourself. On to the main course, we got the Ultimate Seafood Paella ($42 for Small) which was rich, aromatic, and stuffed with seafood. This was great and satisfied all three of our stomachs. Ended off the meal with Tiramisu Casero ($9.50) which had an intense coffee flavour and a complimentary slice of cheese cake. What a wonderful meal and would definitely return!

Squid Ink Paella We had - Burrata from Puglia & Proscuitto from Parma w Roasted Tomatoes & Italian Foccacia ($25) - Signature Pork Cheek ($19) - Squid Ink Paella ($34 for 1-2pax) - Micasa Famous Churros served w/ Dark Chocolate & Lemon Curd ($7.5 for 3 pieces, $12 for 5 pieces) The burrata with the foccacia was great, the pork cheek was a bit meh to me, probably could have tried the beef instead. The Squid Ink Paella was flavourful with generous amount of ingredients. The Churros were thinner than I expected, the lemon Curd is a good sauce to dip in with it. Overall, a good place to try but for the price point, I expected more. It will be hard to get a parking lot given the location The total bill cost us about $100 3/5

Summer Chicken Stew ($20.50++) It comes with a piece of sourdough. The stew may look unassuming but it is quite filling. The chicken thigh was tender and meat can be tore off easily. The potato skin was not peeled but it helps to keep the crunch. It may get abit salty after awhile. Would be good if there is a bowl of rice!

Seafood Somen ($21.50++) The somen tasted abit like mee kia. As the sauce is scallion oil, the dish was abit oily. The salmon was still tender and the scallops were fresh. Although the dish looks interesting, the taste was just normal. I would recommend to try other dishes.

Big in Japan. V2.0 My go to order here. I really love the mascarpone here and the poke with dill and the yuzu jam. Although I miss having the scones (previously it was a scones base) — the biscuits were a good base to complement the ingredients. I love the tater tots here too — not sure why I feel the ones here are better than other cafes — may be the honey. Coffee here is good too!

Black Sesame UPDATE: Sadly as I just went over the weekend and posting today, I realised they have announced their permanent closing this month. So do support them while you can. You could easily miss out this gelato shop as they located at the much quieter building along Orchard Road. Compared to the busy street of Orchard Road, here surprisingly much quieter than outside and lesser people. So I could easily find a seat even on weekend. Gotten their black sesame flavour. burpple 1-for-1 double scoop rather secluded place although it's conveniently located just opposite somerset mrt! the owner was extremely friendly and shared that all ice cream was made in-store at the mini production house at the back of the shop. bought the pistachio, genmaicha, strawberry marshmallow and cookies & cream for a total of $11. value-for-money especially given the generous serving of each scoop (: especially enjoyed the genmaicha which was strong and flavourful! would definitely recommend giving this a try, and to support a small business owner selling quality dessert at the same time.

Super Matcha and Genmaicha Ice Cream! Went back again and gave their Matcha and Genmaicha ice cream (with homemade cone) a shot, and im so glad i did!!! Both flavors are really strong and good, i love it!!! Cone is really crispy too!

Croquettes $12 Tiny little morsels that pack a punch. Amazed by how they are creamy, almost molten on the inside.

Mejillones A La Diablo We only got this cos they ran out of the clams, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Fresh and plump mussels with a slightly spicy seafood broth that was very addictive. Usually not a fan of mussels but this was good.

Coca Bread De Anchoas Y Pimientos Sorta like a Spanish pizza with caramelised onions, roasted peppers, manchego cheese and arugula. Loved the bread, but I would have preferred slightly less arugula.

Hidden Flame Omakase (2/2) Wrapped up the meal with a few well-loved classics that always deliver. The grilled black cod teriyaki was sweet, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth soft. Miso soup came soothing and light, keeping things grounded between bites. A crisp wedge of muskmelon followed, cool and refreshing, the kind of dessert that doesn’t try too hard but still feels luxe. And of course, the uni add-on — this time, it was Murasaki uni, paler in hue with a gentle, mellow sweetness. A softer note compared to the Bafun uni I’d had previously, which leaned rich, orange, sweet and briny.

The 9-piece aburi sushi lineup delivered smoky flair with restraint — each piece lightly torched to unlock depth while letting the fish’s character shine. The grilled course brought satisfying char, miso soup and dessert wrapped things up with gentle sweetness. Here’s how the sushi lineup played out: 1. Shima Aji + Sea Salt & Lemon Firm, clean, with a zesty punch 2. Kinmedai + Vinegar Jelly Delicate flesh with tangy jelly 3. Hamachi + Yuzu Miso Smoky-sweet and ultra smooth 4. Uni Heaven Had to add on the bafun uni sushi during omakase and it’s 100% worth it. So creamy, fresh, and briny in the best way. Its vibrant orange hue hints at the quality. Wrapped lovingly in crispy nori, the combination of flavours and textures is nothing short of magical. The uni's rich umami blends beautifully with the slight saltiness of the seaweed. It’s ultra creamy, fresh, and melts into the sushi rice like ocean butter. If you're already doing the omakase at Standing Sushi Bar, do yourself a favour and add on the uni sushi for just $10/Piece. One piece might not be enough, so… maybe two?

review at hopscotch x Had a lovely dinner at Hopscotch, started off with the Black Garlic Ribeye served with bone marrow butter. The meat was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of richness. I liked that it wasn’t overly fatty, and the brussels sprouts added a nice roasted crunch alongside the brandy sauce. My favourite of the night was definitely the Sweet and Sour Sticky Pork Ribs. The meat was so soft it came off the bone effortlessly, and the glaze had that familiar tangy-sweet kick that reminded me of a classic Chinese dish. It was such a nice mix of comfort and creativity. For the cocktail, I started with the Mid-Autumn Delight. It even came with the cutest handcrafted mango and yuzu snow-skin mooncake. Honestly, I didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. it was light, flavourful, and so well thought out. this was so cute!!!! The drinks were so creative I couldn’t resist getting another the Summer Fling. This was so good, the presentation of this cocktail was so unique and literally top notch. It was like drinking a dessert which brought back heaps of childhood memories!! The customer service was extremely good and I am so pleased with the service staff especially the manager! 12/10 tbh 🫶🏻

Creative and Delicious We had a really nice dinner at Hopscotch. We first ordered the Black Garlic Ribeye Steak and bone marrow butter, seasoned with sesame roasted brussels sprouts and brandy sauce. It was really juicy and tender, not overly oily nor jelat. Good portion of meat as well with not so much fat. We then got the Sweet and Sour Sticky Pork Ribs that was my personal favourite. The meat was so tender and literally falling off the bone, omg. Paired with a side dish of veggies done in traditional Chinese sweet and sour style, perfect blend of Western with a local twist. For cocktails, I got the Lion City tiki (comes with the Merlion) that was in such a cute setup!!! I would say it’s the perfect beach drink that isn’t too sweet but nicely balanced between being citrusy/ light and still having that rum blend. You can rlly taste the kumquat and sugarcane notes which gives it that homely and local taste. Next, I got the A Decade in Time, which is Hopscotch’s signature cocktail mix for their 10th anniversary. This one is sweeter with Soursop and Calamansi notes to it, with a flowery taste as well, thanks to its Apple Flower and Kumquat Gin base. Came in an hourglass and infinity mirror light which made the whole thing a tad more magical. 10/10 recommend, staff was super detailed in explaining the background of each drink as well ❤️

ridiculous customer service went there on a tuesday afternoon, 2 pax, both students. showed them the page of the burpple 141 all day buffet before entering and the cashier said can use on that day. after finishing the meal, they charged me wknd adult prices for the 141! even though we were both students, and we went on a weekday lunch … charged me 30.80 for 2 pax when if without the deal, i would have paid 35.40 for 2 pax student lunch anyways. absolute clickbait when didnt even specify in t&cs of the deal itself, only told us after we finished the meal. dont ever go there what a misleading advertisement to attract customers.

Korean Tteokbokki Hotpot Buffet 4⭐️/5 (Applicable for burpple 30%) [Dinner buffet $19.90 + cheese ring $9.90 before GST] Pretty unique buffet with lots of variety like the tteokbokki, deep fried dishes and fish cake stewer. Ordered the classic soup which is sweet, flavourful and not spicy. The cheese ring contains sweet corn which I think should be left out, haha. Finishing the hotpot, there is an option to fry the rice with the left over soup base but I think the fried rice was a meh.
