With strangers reunion, waffle slayer, symmetry topping the list of best waffles in Singapore, I believe this is one perfect place to have your ice cream and waffles fix without burning a hole in your pocket and no need to travel all the way down town. Love their ice cream especially. Ordered the earl grey lavender flavor and it was rich without being overly sweet. The texture of the ice cream is on the creamy (as what its name suggested) and thick side so some may find it too gelat. Not in my case though! I had this long ago so couldn't remember the exact pricing. The waffles are thick and buttery. Yummy.
I think this place is overly hyped up. Food is expensive, always crowded and crammed. Noisy place to chill at not to mention the mediocre service they provide. I'm only there to try their waffles, not bad but I prefer the original ones and I don't think it's worth the price. Due to the competitiveness of so many new cafés popping up everywhere, I personally don't think I'll visit strangers reunion again. (They are good for their coffee though, magic coffee is one of the best but unfortunately I'm not a fan of coffee)
Matcha ice cream cone ($6.20) pricing can be a put off but oh boy, how often can you find really good and authentic matcha ice cream? So far the best I had was Azabu Sabo but this cone here wins hands down. Not only the ice cream was rich and had a bitter aftertaste (good matcha should taste like this), the cone was crispy and crumbly to bite. There's a faint buttery smell and leaves you wanting for more. I'm hooked!
This was mind blowing, all the goodness in one plate. ($24) brioche toast, maple glazed bacon( this was really yummy), scrambled eggs, hash brown, mesclun and sautéed mushrooms. Too yummy we wolfed it down. Will be back (only for food) not the perfect place if you're looking to chill here, it's too noisy. For me it's a eat and go kinda place.
best pastries I've ever had! A little inaccessible and we had to drive but it's all worth it! On a side note, they don't serve food. Strictly pastries and coffee.
Didn't enjoy the food, go for their coffee instead, they are known for that. Oh and try their financiers. Expensive but yummy!
When it comes to Korean food I'm very particular about it. Usually when you visit an authentic Korean restaurant you would be served by Koreans. Budaejiggae here was not bad though I had better ones, good for sharing for 2 if you're not ordering other sides. Do make a reservation as this place is really popular!
Seafood cocktail sandwhich (I think $16) and cod fish. ($30) I didn't enjoy the food, quality was bad. Even though the restaurant was situated along the river, it was quite stuffy. Will not revisit. They serve brunch on a weekend btw.
