Food is one of life's greatest pleasures and this one is one of my absolute go tos when I feel like a splurge. Not cheap but well worth it. Though piled with rich ingredients, the balance is kept by the chopped konbu that ensures it doesn't make one feel its too gelat. A real treat!
Besides the amusing name, man this is one of my all time favourite dishes to have and this one is no exception. Simply done with a good contrast between crust and body. Included also as part of the incredibly value for money 1 for 1 set dinner!
The beef was seared to perfect doneness and melted in my mouth. As part of the 1 for 1 Burpple set, this is incredible value for money! I love the bite and juicy natural flavours that shine through with this dish. This is an Australian Kobe with marbling of 4 to 5, cut is tri tip.
Popped by for an ice cream but settled on a waffle and it tasted so good! The waffle is warm and crisp on the outside and pairs nicely with the not too sweet icecream
We settled on Tinos to ensure our under 2yrs kiddo would be able to eat what we were eating. The dough is nice and fresh and chewy without being too hard for kiddo to bite. Enjoyed the chicken equivalent of hawaiian pizza. However, the drinks were frustratingly sweet as though a whole bottle of syrup was poured in. Skip the drinks and grab a liho next door instead after the meal.
If this is how all salads tasted I would definitely eat salads more often. A generous serving of lobster sits atop a bed of creamy avocado chunks. Still one of my absolute lunch favourites and go to meals. Healthy and clean is a bonus, zero carb if you don't eat the bread crisps. Try it!
Again another mega comforting dish. So much so that I even deliveroo this in on days I'm craving a pick me up comfort food dish. Mega love!
Looks like nothing special but man this is my fav comfort food still. The curry is a typical sweet jap curry and the savoury of the pita and cheese is the perfect accompaniment. The bonus is the two extra dips for a change of tastes in between bites of curry.
The Don is really good but unfortunately I did find a full bowl too much to stomach. The sweetness of the sukiyaki got a bit much towards the end. The rice texture was perfect though and I loved that it took away some of the oiliness. I probably should not have chosen the foie gras top up given the portion size. But I would come back and share the bowl with someone else. It is still good after all..
Considering these came with the set, def a good deal. Husband liked the sauce that came with it. Slightly sour, tangy, spicy and a nice contrast to the creamy nature of the oyster.
Good value as part of the 4 course.
I've always loved Shin Yeh, the food is hearty and feels like a home cooked meal but the fried oysters are an occasional treat for me. Well crumbed and fried, the body of the oysters remain fresh and juicy without drying out. Even without the added dipping salt, each one is a mini explosion of heaven in my mouth. Still one of my favourite comfort foods...
Stumbled upon this hidden find on date night when decided to explore the quieter 4th floor at Plaza Sing Atrium and inspired by fellow burrpler reviews decided to try it out.
The uni was a really nice touch and surprisingly good for an under $30 chiraishi bowl and the juicy and fresh botan ebi was another of my favourites.
The only criticism I had with the bowl was that the slices were cut too chunky which may have taken away from the texture somewhat.
Overall, fresh fish, good price and great value.
