Make a pit stop at Plaza Singapura for fuss-free lunches with the colleagues. These fried buns are crisp yet fluffy come stuffed with all sorts of delightful fillings. You'll love the Yellow Chicken Curry ($3.30 for 1, $2.90 each for 3) β expect a crust that breaks apart to reveal chunks of chicken soaked in a rich curry. Another scrumptious option is their meaty Brown Beef Curry ($3.30 for 1, $2.90 each for 3) pocket. These are fried with 50% less oil so you can eat guilt-free!

Mark this stall in Chinatown Complex Market and Food Centre for lunch with your colleaguesβ it's a fantastic alternative to the famed Michelin-starred stall (plus points for a way shorter queue). Order their Signature Half Chicken ($7) that sees a generous portion of moist breast meat soaked in a well-balanced, savoury dark soy sauce. If you're there early enough, don't hesitate to snag the popular homemade Braised Tofu ($1.40 per piece) bathed in the same luxurious sweet-salty sauce.

Super disappointing. Overhyped!
Noodles was oily.
Fishballs tasted just like DODO fishball. Is this even handmade? Not bouncy, no taste of fish.
Fishcake super salty. Cant taste any fish.
Fried fish skin was not handmade. It came from a foil packet.
I literally struggled to eat this so as not to waste my $6.20!
Return me $6.20
Disgusting.
Note this cosy 47-seater restaurant down for quick no-brainer bites along Church Street. Helmed by a team of six Japanese sushi chefs, expect no less but quality Osakan fare β this includes having their seafood flown in fresh every day! Highlights include their fatty Tuna Nigiri ($2.99 for two), Salmon Nigiri ($3.99) and the sweet Kyoto-style Pressed Mackerel Sushi ($4.99). For those who can't make up their mind, opt for the Hanahitohira set ($28.99) that includes 10 types of sushi, chawanmushi and sides.

There's so much going on here, with bacon, chirozo sausage, bratwurst sausage, herb tomato, mushroom fricasse and roasted potatoes served alongside toast and salad.

Both the chirozo sausage and bratwurst sausage are good. One gives a firmer bite with herby flavours, the other was soft and infused with cheese. Everything was nicely buttered and definitely filling even for big eaters.
