&SONS definitely has one of the best lunch deals I've seen for good food, service and ambience imo! The steak was (per my request) medium rare and very juicy, though it was quite a hassle to chew by the end. I'll come back again to try their other lunch deals!

Pork belly was great -- tender and juicy meat w crispy skin. The sandwich wasn't very heavy with flavour from sauces and what not so I helped myself out with Sriracha for every mouth 🌝

😋 Can't say no to pretty froyo, take my money! Don't know why my friends and I felt very hungry or generous (to spend) that day that we got one cup each, finishing them up was a bit of a struggle especially with the leftover toppings and melted froyo! (Which happens the same with a Sanum at llaollao i'd say 😅)

I love Sunday Folks! Cone or waffle, I always end up with their earl grey lavender. Both pleasing to the eyes and to my mouth, any day can be a Sunday. 😚

Contrary to my title, I don't remember the prices (oops) but in entering this shop you'll be greeted by their iPad to take your orders, and I like how we can construct our laksas and nasi lemaks the way we like it in such a fun way!

Waiting time was a tad bit longer than usual given the peak lunch hour, but it was still cheap and good local fare for our tummies. It was my second time having their Laksa and I do find that the standard has dropped slightly (maybe it was just that day). The nasi lemak was also good, though nothing special. The rice looks delectable, tasted a bit dry and could do with a bit more flavour. Otak-otak quite mediocre, chicken was crispy and not too oily, and I love my long beans.... as usual 😊.

I actually like this place, and would come back and try my luck with the laksa again, but I guess the nasi lemak is probably not my cup of tea. 😅

I'm an avid fan of Tanuki Raw's Foie Gras and Truffle Yakiniku Don, so much so I've frequented the place numerous times to eat the same damn thing -- it really is their best seller for a reason! However we all have our flaws, and the 'Raw' in Tanuki is definitely not their forte.

My previous encounters with their raw fishy dons were never too pleasant, substandard, but this negitoro don ($18) made sure I would be sticking to my Beef and Foie Gras for a long long time. It is aesthetically OK, but the bowl tasted like it was microwaved for a minute -- not cold nor hot, the negitoro was a lump of sticky, not-so-fresh minced tuna. I shared this and the superstar maki with my friend and we struggled with finishing up the bowl.

I still love you Tanuki, I love your superstar roll (bc it really is everything I love in a roll YAAAS mentaiko mayo salmon cheese tempura flakes oh bless this) and your beef and foie gras bowl (amen amen) but please do something about the fishies!! Tanuki no raw plz.

Bread was warm and fluffy on the inside while crispy on the outside, and dip was full of flavour. In fact, I find the food and drinks at Tuk Tuk Cha very 'gao' -- like the dip, and the thai milk coffee my sister and I had. Made us question if we could sleep tonight, but both paired pretty well (although slightly too sweet for our tastebuds)!

To be honest, I haven't heard much good reviews about their curry from my friends but my own experience certainly changed my impression on this place. Their Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice at $12.90 is slightly pricey (as with most Japanese Curry places tbh) but I reckon it's worth it. The cutlet was cooked crisp and juicy, golden brown and curry (level 2 spiciness) tasted great - not thick but still dense in flavour. Service was good as well, so I'd recommend it!

I love kimchi and I love spicy tuna, but a bit too much of kimchi and the balance is lost -- my friends and I struggled to appreciate our Tuna. Please, LESS KIMCHI! Much preferred the Umami Salmon one for more balance in the taste buds, but this was still nonetheless enjoyable for all of us.
