Loving the lasagne baked in an iron pan here, that unfortunately resembles a giant pimple. When provoked, concerned pimple erupts to reveal a semi cooked egg. Frankly I could do without the egg.. the dish on its own offers sufficient cheesy goodness. It’s scrumptious and surprisingly not too filling.

A quiet afternoon respite amid the lush greenery of Capella hotel (complete with peacocks!). Peaceful, therapeutic and exquisite. We had afternoon tea at the Chef’s Table. It came with both savoury and sweet bites as well as a choice of tea. I opted for milk oolong tea and it was love at first sip. Yes, I would be back in a heartbeat.

When the kids say they love this muffin, you know you have hit homerun. These chocolate munchkins are light, moist and brimming with chocolate chips. The chicken pies are also supposed to be famous but we didn’t get to try them as they were still baking in the oven when we visited.

Do you dig durian like me? If so, you may go gaga over the delectable durian chendol at Blue Ginger. This toothsome treat comes with its own side dish of durian pengat which can be dripped in generous dollops on top of your chendol. Over and over again.

Teppei thrills and terrorizes. During our last Omakase, he fed us teriyaki crickets. This round, we were presented with these goose barnacles that taste like ripped out turtle claws. Salty and gross! Thankfully the other courses were normal looking and tasting.

An oasis of calm in Raffles Place. A place where you can sit down with a buddy during lunchtime and have a heart to heart conversation over the best truffle fries in Singapore and a cup of tea. Ps: buttermilk chicken was nice but forgettable, hence taking second place in the background😺.
