Atas Prawn Noodles? Went to check out Izy Fook a while back since they were on #BurppleBeyond! I must say that the service was great and our service staff was extremely attentive and friendly throughout the meal 🤩 First up, we had the 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧 ($25) which came with a tiger prawn, roast pork belly and an ajitama egg. The noodles were cooked al dente, retaining its bouncy feel and the prawn broth was so good to slurp up! 😋Honestly, it felt like an atas bowl of prawn noodles. 😅

Truffle Wagyu Don! Our other dish was the 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐲𝐮 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐧 ($34) which came topped with truffle shavings and slices of marinated wagyu. We did wish that they could have been more generous with the portion as it was a pretty small serving overall.

Interesting flavours Quite a small portion but was delicious nevertheless. Strong clam flavours for clam fans

For 1-for-1 Original Ban Mian (Soup) (save ~$3.50) Tucked away in a coffeeshop amongst shophouses, head to this casual eatery for comforting ban mian with generous ingredients! Go for the Original Ban Mian Soup ($3.50) and Original Ban Mian Dry ($4), and don’t forget to order Bakkwa Spring Roll and Popcorn Chicken (both at $2 each), for an afternoon snack. Dry Ban Mian ($4) + bakwa springroll ($2) Decent ban mian. Generous with ingredients though noodles could have been abit more. Springroll was nice:) Okay to buy even without burrple, but a very wallet friendly meal with burrple

Fish and chips Quite big portion of fish and chips. I also tried the cake, recommended to check this cafe out!

Iced latte I remember the location as fresh fruits lab and loved their stuff. Was surprised to see another cafe but realised it’s by the same people that owned the previous place. The coffee was fragrant and balanced. I will need to go back for food the next time. But I really liked the aesthetic it has a very French Bistro vibe Also the paper straw that they gave me didn’t disintegrate after a few sips.

Soft Shell Crab Burger ($19++) Crispy soft shell crab with lettuce, tomatoes and homemade chili crab sauce, served with fries and fruit salad .

Indomie Ayam Bakar I seldom eat or buy instant noodle, and of course some time you would crave for it. IndoBowl at Kampong Glam is a place you could visit to have some indomie. I was hoping to see more portion of the indomie, but as you can see from my bowl; the noodle has covered by the egg. Gotten the red chilli version which is definitely for those who brave enough to challenge for spicy food. The ayam bakar rather compliment more for the whole bowl, than the indomie itself. It was bigger size than I expected and it was so juicy and well cooked.

Thai Milk Tea The Thai milk tea sweetness was just nice, not those sweet till you get diebetes kind, which is nice. However this cost you $4, for a small portion which is abit expensive.

Maggie Goreng Good authentic Indo mee, chilli spicy and shiok! Recommend call to reservation!

highly recommend getting the sashimi slices!! Sashimi was remarkably fresh too we decided to order more 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐍 ($𝟔/𝟐𝐩𝐜), 𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐀 ($𝟖/𝟐𝐩𝐜) & 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊 ($𝟏𝟎/𝟐𝐩𝐜) and were surprised with THICK ASS CUTS😭🫶🏼

The 𝐒𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐈 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐁𝐎𝐖𝐋 ($𝟐𝟐) had more sashimi than rice??? AMAZING variety🍱 - salmon, tuna, swordfish, ikura, negitoro, octopus, fish roe…topped with tempura bits🥹 Sashimi was remarkably fresh too. You can also choose the type of rice; I went for mixed grain for a chewier texture🍚

Green Curry Chicken It’s hard to go wrong with a crowd fav of green curry. Loved this, creamy and thick.

Pineapple Fried Rice Great dish. But it didn’t come in a pineapple as shown in the picture.

Phad Thai This was really quite tasty, had a bit of the sour taste. Good for those who prefer this on the sour side, but if u don’t, just don’t add the lime in.

Biggest con job The Burpple offer was for a set meal for 2 at $98 plus taxes. Offer was to take $40 off. The meal shoved you with too much food so as to justify the price, and when the bill came it was $116+after the Burpple voucher and taxes. Who needs so much food for lunch except for the outlet to force sell you as much food as possible? And you could not even have a 3rd person join in coz they said the Burpple offer or the restaurant disallows it. Please NEVER go there. Don't be scammed like me.

Vongole Aglio Olio I really wanted to try this pasta and I think it fared surprisingly well! The clams we had were fresh, while the pasta sauce was savoury yet light on the palate AND infused into the pasta, unlike the previous pasta place that I recently posted about oops.

Truffle Fries Ok pardon the ugly pic but this was the true champ of the meal actually as we didn’t expect the fries to be so crisp yet potato-ey (in the sense that you could still taste the nice starchy potato, and not just air in the fries ykwim?). The truffle taste was also present in every fry and though the cheese shavings on top look pretty scant, it was adequate for that whole mountain of fries 👌💯 defo a must get.

Crabmeat Pasta This was my friend’s fav and if you can’t already tell from the pic, it was reallyyyy creamy and filled with crabmeat, without being overly surfeiting or thiccc. The tomato base was also slightly tangy and served to whet my appetite even more👅

Fish with macadamia crust The fish was fresh and soft, and the crust complimented it really well! Really enjoyed this! We ordered 3 main dishes, and 2 desserts (so we could use a Burpple deal, and it was about $30/person) pretty worth it!

Keto Brownie This legit taste super super good, even on a normal brownie scale. The chocolate was fudgy but not sticky, and it wasn’t too sweet either which went very well with the ice cream! The other items on the menu also looked pretty good and decently priced for a restaurant with a nice ambiance! Would come back again to try their other food!

Plant based Crab pasta Again, taste exactly like crab! Pasta was decent.

Prawn Roll And Unagi Roll Besides the rolls we had oden, grilled squid and cod fish. Overall nothing mindblowing, food was straightforward but of good quality so we enjoyed the meal. Liked the squid in particular. Service was good, and I appreciated the quieter ambience (instead of many tables squeezed into one small area). Worth visiting especially with Burpple Beyond.

Yumeya Special Maki ($22+) Aaaaaahmazing. 🙌🏻 Salivating at this photo now cos it was dat good. They used original wasabi grounded root as well, instead of artificial ones normally served. Gotta try the unagi maki too! ($25+), the combination was bomb and filling enough for 2 pax. Made even better through Burpple Beyond!
