really enjoyed ourselves the last time I visited this unit, it was Suprette. cosy casual environment with a retro theme. not a lot of tables so safer to make reservations. good for groups as the dishes are suitable for sharing so can enjoy a variety. Chicken Breast The chicken breast ($17++) comes with buttered corn, mushrooms, potato skins milk mash. The chicken breast is moist and tender but a tad too salty.

Dashi Risotto 💵: $21 📈: 9.5/10 🤔: 24 hours since I had this and I'm still thinking about it because it was THAT good. -0.5 because it was a tad bit pricey for the small portion, but definitely made affordable with beyond. Fried enoki mushrooms not only added a nice crunch but also great flavour.

Tom Kha Capellini 💵: $19 📈: 7/10 🤔: Would be better if the dish was served hotter, but it might also be because of the capellini's inability to retain heat. The shrimp paste was bouncy and shrimp floss added to the light tom yum flavour, pretty good dish overall!

Bravery Chicken Ragu Bravery Chicken Ragu ($18) features a piece of herbed chicken thigh on top of al dente spaghetti tossed with mushroom and roasted vegetables in creamy ragout sauce. The chicken is tender and moist, while the sauce is creamy but not too heavy. Cream pasta is not usually my first choice of pasta but this was enjoyable. The portion is very generous as well. Yums!

Lavender Latte ($6) Your typical latte but with the fragrance of lavender. Coffee was standard but the lavender made it quite unique - it was an interesting coming together of the aromas. The dried lavender bits can be quite strong so you may want to avoid actually chewing into them if you’re not a fan of strong aromas. I wouldn’t get this again but it was interesting to try. Visited on an afternoon of a Public Holiday and the cafe was not too busy, had some seats available for my friend and I. Staff were friendly.

Bibimbap ($12) Cheap but errrr I would rather go have bibimbap at Hyang Yeon. Ingredients were okay - there’s spinach, seaweed, beansprouts, zucchini, carrots, egg, and beef. Nothing was bad but everything was very average. The rice tho, was terribly mushy - I don’t know if it’s an off-day or what but it was ridiculous, we’ve never had such mushy rice anywhere 😢 The hot stone bowl was really good tho, it kept my food steaming hot (not warm but hot) throughout the meal, and allowed a crust to develop like in claypot rice. That was the only portion of the rice worth eating. The mushy rice I managed to eat was so that I wouldn’t waste food. Banchan was average as well, there’s seasoned potatoes, beansprouts, kimchi, pickled radish, broccoli, and macaroni. This is definitely one of the least impressive Korean restaurants I’ve been to. Oh well, at least it was cheaper than usual - $14 after service charge and gst.

Singkoba (2)🥢 Honestly one of the best seafood pakcakes eaten!! Its really crispy but thick at the same time🤣 Please see my previous burpple post for Singkoba's review!!

Crab Meat Curry Thai crab meat dry curry, the curry is typical Thai curry which is not too strong, generous crab meat cooked with eggs that creates this silkiness texture, with some chunks of bell peppers, i had it with omelette rice topped with kaylan steams. Yummy...Sublime.. so glad i tried this one! You should ask them to reduce the saltiness a bit if you don’t like things to be too salty like me. Apart from that, if you are a crab meat and curry lover, this is something you have to try!

String Beans With Minced Pork Don’t usually take string bean as they have a taste that i don’t fancy. But there isn’t any from this dish and paired it nicely with the minced pork.

Stir Fry Beansprout Witb Preserved Vegetable A piece of very simple dish that tasted so homely! Preserved vegetable add an additional dimension of preserved taste to the beansprout.

Miyazaki Green Tea Miyazaki Green Tea (Pot) ($7) it was complemented well as it's good for digestion to eat with pancake tbh and need to wait for tea steep in for flavours at least 5 to 10 minutes for drinking.

Hojicha Tiramisu saw the breaking news on facebook when they closed down on early june so it's quite sad that I decided to visit them before the shop closed down for good. Hojicha Tiramisu ($17) decided to order since I saw a couple of food reviews about their tiramisu series on burrple. But it's not that disappointed tbh as their pancake dough, sauce and jelly got strong hojicha taste. As I compared with Matcha Tiramisu, it's don't have jelly as side dish :"( so not that worth it for their pricing. But their mascarpone cheese really got thick and creamy texture on top of their pancake as I don't really like this tbh. overall it's ok for me but I wanted to try matcha azuki pancake before closed down.

berrylicious pancake 3/5⭐️ -pancakes are much denser than the regular jp soufflé pancakes and had a spongy and cakey bite to them. reminiscent of macdonalds hotcakes. they’re made with a special organic 7 grain mix so pretty healthy?? ;) -the vanilla bean flavor of the ice cream pairs well with the not so sweet pancakes -syrup is a tart strawberry purée blend~

Unplanned Dinner Purchase Onsen egg is amazing! Got the truffle and misomayo. Truffle smell and taste was pretty decent in strength. Portion size is good!

Truffle Beef Don! Ordered 2 truffle beef don and comes with 2 cold green tea as well! worth it with burpple beyond!

Set Lunch Was Really Worth It!! Ordered the Mentaiko Salmon Don & Truffle Cream Salmon Don set lunches. Comes with miso soup & green tea (choice of hot/cold and refillable too). They gave generous portions of salmon and the flavours were really rich!! The set lunch price was also cheaper and we even got additional $3 discount each for flashing our student passes. No GST or Service charge too!! We each paid around $12+ each and it was totally worth it. Would definitely come back again. 9.5/10 👍🏼👍🏼

JJAJJANGMYUN, KIMCI JJIGAE ($17) Recommended to get this 2 as most Singaporeans go for them! Kimchi jjigae was pretty good, (normally not a fan of kimchi) but the black bean sauce was not to my liking. The shop owner was really nice, and this place also offered entertainment so you can hang around w/ your friends! :')

Kimchi Jjigae At Thirsty4balls - The Cathay Totally enjoyed our Kimchi Jjigae with Lion Lager, ambience is great and we have plenty of board games to keep us entertained. The owner is so friendly which makes us want to go back for our next weekend.

For 1-for-1 Jjajang/Kimchi Set & Drink (save ~$15) Nestled conveniently in The Cathay is this carom billiard bar that boasts a fun South Korean aesthetic. Gather the gang for a night out — expect authentic nosh done in the style of Jeollanam-do, a province of South Korea. Doco Donburi One for one set lunch was very worth it (: $17 for two sets including miso soup and a drink! Food was great ( filling ) and the ambience was awesome. It’s a work-space area and so pretty decorated!

Beef Donburi & Laksa Pasta The beef donburi was really delicious - the fried shallots was a great touch! Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the laksa pasta. I found the pasta a bit too dry, and the pasta a tad undercooked. Nonetheless, it is great value with BB, and a very spacious, quiet spot in town for a meal to recharge. :)

Beef Donburi Bowl $7 with the Burpple 1-for-1 which made it worth it. Beef and fish skins was good.. however, portion will be a bit small for guys.. would visit again!

LYCHEE OOLONG tried their Lychee Oolong💗 which is their new flavor. Both lychee and oolong is more of an after taste which i think they used lychee oolong tea to make the creme 🤔

CHICKEN BACON PIE Their Chicken Bacon Pie surprised me by how good it is💯 It’s meaty inside with cookie crust outside💗 served with salad as well 😋
