The Eggs ben-jamin came with wilted spinach, bacon onion jam, béarnaise (sauce made of clarified butter emulsified in egg yolks and white vinegar sauce), home-cured bacon and English muffins. The poached eggs were beautifully done with sublime yellow yolk oozing out when slightly torn apart. The English muffins were soaked in a béarnaise sauce (not hollandaise sauce, but just as delicious). I was pretty impressed with this dish.

Beautiful mish-mash of colours, but it was slightly bitter for my liking. There were 2 shots and it definitely woke me up!

The chrysanthemum was crunchy and slightly sweet, giving a wonderful texture to the slightly sweet and milky pudding. I liked that the pudding wasn’t cloyingly sweet. I enjoyed this on a chilly night at Katong, and would definitely come back again.

This isn’t cheap but I loved the unique flavour of the blue pea ice-cream (pictured on top). It was a beautiful blue, and it was rich and smooth without being too surfeiting.

The soul was savory and comforting to drink, like a warm hug on your soul after a weary week. The pork ribs were very tender, and the prawns were juicy too! The portion was just right and this was really one of the better prawn noodles I have had in Singapore. I opted for kway teow because I don’t like yellow noodles.

Steak with 2 sunny side-ups, with house-made entrecôte sauce. I got medium but I thought it was slightly tough. I should have opted for medium rare. I found the portion very sufficient, and I was so pleasantly surprised to find that the egg yolks were so runny!

The ambience of the bistro was lovely too - quiet and romantic for a date and cosy enough for intimate gatherings with close friends.

The famous L’Entrecôte steak, with their legendary secret sauce generously poured over tender sliced steak. Accompanied with golden French fries and green salad with walnuts. Comes with complimentary wine and bread too!

It’s a generous portion for the price. The fish paste tofu was bouncy and fresh too!

Found this plate of fried rice that is supposed to resemble DTF fried rice. I still think DTF fried rice beats this plate 😅

There were more options at this hawker stall, ranging from Tom yum fried rice, mala fried rice to the basic egg fried rice. You can opt for pork or shrimp for your protein.

Milk based ice-cream with a very strong lavender fragrance and taste. The ice-cream was pretty dense and I quite like it despite the hefty price tag.

Fresh fruits atop a well blended açaí base. The granola was crunchy and sweetness just right! I loved that there were wolf-berries instead of dried cranberries.

Seating area was small (can sit about 3 pairs and more if you are willing to sit on the floor) but it’s a cosy space!
