Dabaoed back (+30c) and added rice (+60c). However would strongly recommend eating there because you can refill the soup. More rice when eating there as well. The soup is addictive and so shiok when drank hot. Meat is so tender too. You can understand why the queue is so long and it is not just the social media hype when people of all ages come here to queue.
Used the burpple 1 for 1. Total bill came up to be $8.90 for 2 large cups. The honey lemon oolong tea was refreshing and sweet enough cos of the honey. The cheese macchiato tasted just like the old liho drinks when they had cheese foam. Best when the cheese foam is stirred together with the pudding. Yummm
Quite disappointing dish. Way too salty and more creamy (carbonara style) rather than cheesy.
Okay i think this is one of their best products, even better than Nest Snow which is more popular. You can just eat it with the fork or with the glove (if it is more tasty using your hands). The cream and onion on top taste like coleslaw drenched on chicken. The cold creamy sauce, crunchy onions and tender chicken was just the perfect combination. Portion was also just nice for 2 pax. Impressive.
Affordable and tasty vegetarian lunch near bendemeer mrt! Ordered oyster omelette ($9.80), dumpling with vinegar ($8.20), fried kway teow, cereal tofu ($12.20) and 3 drinks. Have been here for the 3rd time and will come back here again. All dishes here are recommended! The stall name has changed to botanict. There is also an 20% offer for UOB cards with min spend $30. We forgot to use though :(
Didn't manage to take all the food because we were busy eating. Reviews on google mentioned that drinks are required. Would totally recommend the umeshu soda ($10++). There were also many of the dishes that were great. Sashimi mori ($38++), miyazaki tataki (18++) - shown in picture, cha soba ($10++), braised chicken innards (can't remember the name) and tori karaage ($8++) that were exceptional to me. Ordered a lot of alcohol and food so the bill turned out 🤑 but once in a while, good food is needed. No regrets!
First time trying the restaurant version of lao huo tang. Love the pig stomach soup!! There was so much ingredients that it was super worth it. The shop only allows for one time soup refill so pour out all the soup before asking for a refill! Love the pumpkin rice too. One big pumpkin and you can taste the flavour of the rice. Worth it to top up $1 to get pumpkin rice instead of white rice. The spinach dish was disappointing though. Other zichar stalls can do better.
Ordered the ala carte version as i thought the set meal will be too filling. Was expecting a small chicken drumstick but they gave the breast meat instead. Was expecting something like chicken up soy sauce chicken but it was 99% spicy and a tiny 1% tinge of soy sauce flavour. Would eat the grilled chicken/original chicken anyday 🤷🏻♀️
Only two different choices of meat (beef and pork) with different vegetables/mushrooms to choose from. 3 soup bases (shabu shabu, pork broth, sukiyaki) and we chose the pork broth. Surprisingly quite filling. Pork was tender and recommended. Beef was a little gamey and tough, even though it wasn't cooked for long - probably because of the cut. Almost full house on weekend. Bought the voucher on fave but it seems like there was a more worth it deal on shopback at $34.90 for 2 pax with calpis drink. Soup became extremely salty after that though. Had to drink lots of water after that. Seems like a lot of items (eggs, other jap side dishes) in the previous reviews are also not there anymore :(
Quite crowded during lunch. Bowl was filled to the brim filled with 2 poke (ordered original salmon and wasabi salmon), base (white rice) and 4 toppings (nori seaweed, flying roe, fried onions, beancurd skin). It was also filled with lots of lettuce.
Wasn't expecting so much salad in the bowl (my fault, thought it was similar to poke theory.) but was pleasantly surprised with the portion of sashimi in the bowl and I was quite satisfied with it. I think the fried onions paired nicely with the whole bowl.
Remember to claim the $5 shopback voucher (pay $1 or use your cashback to offset) and get the bowl for $10.40. Worth it at $10.40 but not really at $15.40. Eat also more shiok when you know you saved $5.
Okay this is really good but i suggest you leave this for the last. Otherwise nothing you eat after that is gonna beat this. Really fresh and wow, crab sashimi? Have never tried it before. Loved this! Also, this is such a beauty to look at. Worth the price. Honestly becoming my favourite sushi place to go to.
Fresh out after frying. The flavour sounds interesting and taste interesting too. Pastry wise it is not bad though the whole thing is nothing to shout about. They have other interesting flavours too, maybe can try the others instead. Unit #02-64
