Some people like whiskey on the rocks. Others like me love thinly sliced meat on hot rocks. Which do you prefer? Or both together?

Infuses Japanese Shabu-Shabu with European Flair Finesse is the key here. The shabu shabu broths are carefully developed to achieve fulsome yet balanced flavour; and dipping sauces calibrated to subtly enhance the meats and vegetables. Read more: http://www.misstamchiak.com/sakurazaka/

Not into the Bingsu craze but this Ujikintoki from @sakurazakasg would be a perfect remedy to this insane weather. Who can say no to a Japanese kakigori matcha ice cream and all that azuki goodness! Chef Masashi said that he'd douse his with the light Japanese condensed milk and we couldn't agree more!

Buta don 10.9+ Not very good, the meat is very lean and not charred at all

Sukiyaki with sukiyaki full portion add on +12++ The beef is really very decent, has a little bit of chew that's pleasant. Not your traditional marinade but the sweetness and saltiness were still well balanced. The add on doesn't seem to be a full portion, but it's really hard to say no to more of this spectacular meat Must try, I don't think there's a better sukiyaki don at this price point anywhere in Singapore

Matcha Latte I like their matcha latte for its smooth mouthfeel. It was quite refreshing and it does not get too diluted even after the ice melts. The only downside was the lack of the subtle bitterness we usually get from a good matcha latte 》$5

Sashimi Rice Bowl Generous chunks of salmon, swordfish, tuna, yellowtail and jellyfish on a bed of rice, topped with tempura bits. All donburi also comes with complimentary miso soup and wafu salad. Top up $1 for their multi-grain rice for some chewy and nutty texture. Not the best and although the sashimi was average, this is a really affordable and value for money chirashi for its generous servings of sashimi and quick chirashi fix 》$18 + $1 Multi-Grain Rice

Another of our fave tapas from Catalunya, the garlicky clams. The serving was really generous, and I only seen ONE empty shell in the entire bowl, and some shells had 2 pieces in it 😂. Talk about value for money. It came with some bread for dipping into the garlicky broth. Yums.

Fish with macadamia crust The fish was fresh and soft, and the crust complimented it really well! Really enjoyed this! We ordered 3 main dishes, and 2 desserts (so we could use a Burpple deal, and it was about $30/person) pretty worth it!

Keto Brownie This legit taste super super good, even on a normal brownie scale. The chocolate was fudgy but not sticky, and it wasn’t too sweet either which went very well with the ice cream! The other items on the menu also looked pretty good and decently priced for a restaurant with a nice ambiance! Would come back again to try their other food!

Had a chance to try out these pre-designed selections at @FabulousDough ($5.50 each): • Apple Berry Cream Cheese – smoked berry glaze + apple pie bacon cream cheese + granola • Salted Caramel Nutella – salted caramel glaze + nutella filling + butter beer popcorn • Green Tea Yuzu – green tea jasmine glaze + yuzu white chocolate cream + black sesame cookie : Besides being taken by surprise at how stunning these glorified donuts were, the kid in me particularly enjoyed the syringe-injected element to it, & loved the chewy bite to them – so much so that I actually wished to see a cronut version. Anyway! You can also #PimpYourDough by getting a blank canvas donut at $1.20, then choosing your own glaze, toppings & fillings at $1.50 each! Which is pretty worth it since it’ll all total up to be just $0.20 more only. Fabulous Dough is hidden within Montana Singapore (Pomo Level 2), just walk in to get fab! 😽 : Rating: 4.2/5 Worth your calories? You have no idea. 📷 Credits: @blancheeze

A new style of donut at @fabulousdough. I had the green tea yuzu. The glaze was too sweet for me, but I love the texture of the donut and the black miso caramel! 😋👌🏻

During the weekends, you can order a @FabulousDough from @MontanaSingapore . Customers are encouraged to #PimpYourDough, where they can select a donut base, topped with a glaze, topping and fillings (in syringes) to their preference. If not, try the Green Tea Yuzu ($5.50) – a house-made fluffy donut base, covered in a glossy green tea jasmine glaze, topped with black sesame cookie, and ‘pumped’ in with white chocolate cream. http://danielfooddiary.com/2016/01/21/montana/

Beef Striploin (set lunch) Not too bad in taste and portion considering it's only $14.9+ with a daily soup and glass of iced tea. The black pepper sauce was quite fiery on its own, and the green tomato salsa quite saltish, but when mixed together the flavors was just right to pair with the steak.

Saturday Brunch At Sprigs Awesome brunch I would say! 18.90+ set came with a brunch main, a salad and a juice. The salad served that day was the moroccan roasted lamb salad with couscous and yoghurt, just newly launched. Not a salad person but thought the combi was great.. It's a pity they only serve brunch on Saturdays.

If you have a reservation from now till then, good on you! If not, shame on you but they will continue slaying with the New Bahru community from May. Till then, peace out and see you on the other side of Singapore!

Green Harissa Prawns And at the mention of their bread ($4.80/ Bag of Bread), the Green Harissa Prawns ($38) were wonderfully seasoned. That tantalising green harissa enriched sauce/oil with split cream and burnt onions packed a nice heated punch so you would really need that extra warm dough to wipe it all up~ The prawns are also plump and sweet.

Mezze Platter As good as I remembered them to be, Artichoke’s hummus is a must so I got their Mezze Platter ($28) for lunch. Plated with miso hummus with pomegranate, beetroot hummus with sesame seeds, Greek chickpea salad, refreshing greens, tangy pickles and bread; the 3 mezzes of the day were great to share for two. Smooth and creamy, the savoury miso hummus was bomb diggity but the vibrant beetroot dip was an absolute delight - both perfectly moreish and bangin’ when paired with their pillowy-doughy bread.
