Xiao Long Kan Had an amazing hotpot experience at @xiaolongkansg Xiao Long Kan! The atmosphere was so authentically Chinese, and the clear soup base was incredibly refreshing. The mala was definitely 🔥🔥🔥! 🌶 Everything was so fresh, and the ox tongue presentation was a work of art! 🌹 Definitely recommend this place for a delicious and unforgettable hotpot experience.

Authentic Szechuan Hotpot Unlike other joints that charge more if u want duo or trio soup , this places charges u less if u choose the 3 soup option ! Hallelujah for variety lovers ! The Mala Soup has a commendable spicy kick n variety & quality of the food is decent . It won’t cost u an arm n a leg and tables are well spaced out .

◾Shio's Four Tart Box [$36] The sister company to ice-cream shoppe @denzygelato, @shiopatisserie focuses on freshly baked tarts that makes use of only premium ingredients. Yes, premium y'all. These impeccable tarts are literally baked and assembled a few hours prior to collection to ensure its optimum freshness. Included in the box are: ◾Cheese Brûlée Lemon sponge, cream cheese, mascarpone, brûléed sugar - One of my top favourites of the bunch, the cheese brûlée packed quite a punch with it's two cheeses and it's mix of slightly savoury with delectably sweet and sour. ◾Earl Grey Pecan Almond sponge, pecan butter, earl grey cream - The smooth pecan butter worked wonders with the earl grey cream. The flavour combination was perfect in every way. ◾Lime Basil Lime sponge, lime basil curd, white chocolate cream - The flavours of their lime basil tart was quite subtle, with an overpowering hint of basil. It actually reminded me of Sourbombe's Rhubarb Basil bombe to be honest. ◾Mont Blanc Rum sponge, cassis coulis, chestnut rum mousse, chestnut cream - This was my favourite out of all of the tarts. Dang thar cassis coulis we sublime and the inclusion of rum brought it to a whole nother level. (I don't really drink but put alcohol in desserts and I'm like hell yeah.) I'm glad to have come across Shio Patisserie's delicate tarts and I do hope to see more flavours from them! Perhaps even a collab with their sister company Denzy? Ice-cream + tarts = Profit.

Pita Taste is good! but portion is quite huge (to justify the price I guess) and can get overwhelming

Hojicha Donut (KAI KAI - $3.00) (UP - $3.30) I didn't expected that it's not cream donut and just normal and basic roasted tea donut. But the roasted tea taste quite strong tbh and also slightly hard when reheat the donut.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Donut (KAI KAI - $1.99) UP: $3.30 Seasonal edition flavour for halloween. The taste was quite fusion and savoury especially peanut (nutty taste) and also chocolate (sweet sauce). Originally I want to order another regular flavour one but then didn't missed it out for seasonal edition.

Matcha White Chocolate Donut Decided to order Matcha White Chocolate Donut (UP: $3.30) (KAI KAI: $3.00) instead of Matcha Originals. As I did reserved flavour after buying KAI KAI voucher, it just sold out when I went there. I felt that it was really quite sweet due to white chocolate and not much bitter inside matcha. It got strong yeasty taste and chewy texture when I tried it out.

Chicken Nuggets with Home-made Fermented Sriracha (20 pieces) It was a little funny seeing RVLT sell their in-house Chicken Nuggets in the same denominations as McDonald’s, but this was the better deal for sure. Priced at S$60.00 for 20 pieces, these bar snacks were made of full pieces of chicken meat, almost like chunks of Karaage. However, what really attracted me to this dish was that the nuggets were seasoned with tamarind powder to give it a sourish flavour, and if that was not brilliant enough, be sold to their home-made sriracha sauce which was kind of addictive to me. In short, if you would want prominent flavours of chicken with elevated sour and spicy notes, this would be the perfect bar grub for you. Just take note that they might not be available when the price of fresh chicken gets ridiculously high.

Great Wines Oh, and that sourdough would beat most other bakeries in blind taste test. Definitely order the sourdough again.

Kulto cheesecake ($16) Gooey, oozy cheesecake with a thin bottom crumble layer. Savory, tangy, and nutty from the mix of different cheeses. Paired with refreshing tangy raspberry sorbet (wished there was more of this for better balance to cut through the richness). Have seen many comparing this to Olivia’s cheesecake but Olivia’s rendition remains the reigning champion for me, inching out in terms of complexity and refinement.

Crab croquette Crispy edges with creamy and spicy chili crab filling. If nitpicking, would have appreciated more crab meat.

Squid ink paella Savory and flavourful squid ink paella with strong umami notes. Texture of the rice was great with nice Socarrat from the edges. Also enjoyed the fresh and tender assortment of squid, clams, mussels, and fish. Would be keen to try their seafood paella next!

Pretty tasty desserts A beautiful creation, this Strawberry St Honore Tart ($10) from @delicatesse.sg was as delicious as it looked! There were different contrasts in textures, from the smooth richness of the cream, to the crispy yet fluffy shell of the macaron, to the crunchy tart crust. I loved the combination of sweet and sour notes from each layer. The taste of strawberry was light yet not artificial. Love it that it wasn't too sweet overall, especially the macarons! The tart shell was rather fresh with its crunchy texture and was filled with some kind of rich paste. The strawberry was unfortunately sour, but I guess it goes well with the sweeter layers overall. A good place to go for some speciality tarts and cakes, albeit being quite expensive!

Matcha Mont Blanc I wanted to order Matcha Mont Blanc previously but its already sold out ($9 via KAIKAI) (UP: $10) and managed to go before 2 to 3 p.m. I managed to get last piece for matcha mont blanc 👍😅. I felt that chestnut inside the mont blanc was too strong nut taste and overwhelming for me. For matcha otherwise, it was quite not strong bitter taste but milky and creamy for me.

Matcha Mont Blanc 🥧 Matcha Mont Blanc 📍Delicatesse (@delicatesse.sg) 📌 Tanjong Pagar 💰 $9.50 I've never tried mont blanc before, so this was my first time experiencing it. In theory, this sounds like a really exciting dessert, with the mont blanc being matcha flavoured and being encased within a tart, but I found that the flavours weren't as impressive as its concept. The tart base wasnt super fragrant and was a bit thick, and the matcha taste was a bit too faint for my liking. As for the mont blanc, I couldnt really taste the chestnut elements either. Wish the elements were stronger, however it is really pretty! ⭐ Rating: 6.7/10 🤑 worth the price: eh 🦖 would I buy again: no 💍 would I marry: no
