Serving portion is quite generous for an adult. Interesting texture of soba, resembled more like udon but still springy. I liked how they serve the miso broth in a separate bowl so you can add in to adjust the amount of saltiness and thickness in your noodle broth. Top it off, u may order a free serving of rice to add to your leftover noodle broth if ur still not full. My mum ordered the tomato chicken ramen, taste quite child friendly and appetising. Chicken was tender and savoury and I like the roll cuts. Will be back again if chanced upon again. Price was about $15++/pax.

Tried this dinner joint which features their own home brewed beer as well as western cuisine in this nifty corner of JE. Tried the Pandan beer with the distinctive green hue, resembles the Irish beer offered during Oktoberfest. Very fragrant and refreshing with a light after finish. Food was great too, recommend the ribs, they roast it till the meat falls off the bone. Fish offered taste like cod, high quality fish.

I ordered the hogzilla, great choice ! The pulled pork was tender and succulent ! My gf ordered the basic instinct, it was classic like how an American beef burger should be ! Overall, the ambience was a really great one!

The Claypot Mee Tai Mak (the $8 medium portion feeds two to three) at this HDB zi char joint may not be pretty, but it's darn tasty and most comforting after a long week. Dive straight into the plump noodles, bathed in the bubbling, thick and flavourful broth, and stirred through with chopped vegetables, minced meat, prawns and a freshly cracked egg. Ask for some chilli padi for an added kick! Also great for sharing are the Salted Egg Pork Ribs ($10) and the Boss Bee Hoon (get the small $15 portion to share between two to three). As its name suggests, this place also does a mean traditional Fish Head Steamboat (from $23 for a small portion) — the perfect dish to share with your family on a cool night. Pro tip: Call to reserve a table and pre-order dishes so you can dig in the moment you arrive!

I've heard of the cafe on several social platforms but never tried it yet. Today decided to have a go at it, did not regret at all ! The ambience is great, brightly lit with well air conditioned. The boss himself came and took our orders & gave his genuine recommendations. His service is impeccable. From asking feedback after every table to saying goodbyes to every table when he's going off, surely tells of his passion in running this place. Food's great, ice cream's good. Cons: perhaps the pricing for tea could be lower (same priced as lattes) or served in a pot instead. Overall, it's a pleasant dining experience that deserves a second visit. 👍🏻👍🏻

Run by the same team behind Etna, iO serves up heartier but no less authentic Italian food in a laidback, rustic setting within HillV2. This place is perfect for longtime couples looking to enjoy the food and each others' company. Decked out in wood and copper to resemble a traditional Italian tavern, the food, too, is comforting. Get the Porchetta ($16) to share — the crackling on the pork belly is spot-on, and we love the aromatic wild fennel stuffing. For mains, you won't go wrong with their pastas or risotto — the Homemade Raviolacci with Beef and Marsala Sauce ($16) and Slow-Braised Lamb Ragout Garganelli ($19) are favourites. Wines start from a reasonable $10/glass. You must end off with the Pistachio Tiramisu in a Jar ($10), a truly delightful spin on the dessert classic.
Avg Price: $45 per couple (without drinks)

Very acquired & exquisite dish. Cakes resembled fish cutlets on the inside with a charcoal-like crust. Shared among 7 people was just right because urchin roe gets quite gelatinous at times.
